Nice Corvette C5 mate! But goodluck with the United States Air Force. I hope you'll be back to the RU-vid world again, thanks for the content. Goodluck! 👋👋👋👋👋👋
i would guess he changed them as far as im aware fender has their mustangs come stock with 9-42 gauge strings which for most is too low especially for a shorter scale length guitar
Quad for clean and Twin for distorted. The punch in the Mids on the Twin sounds really good and will translate super well into a mix in my opinion. Nice video, thanks
Hey, that was a really cool jam at the end, great video. I was chasing In Utero tone 25 years ago. The sounds of my youth. Never got as close as you and Aaron!
I was just looking at the prices of the Competition Mustangs over the last several days and I almost pulled the trigger on a burgundy - it was a 70's model so it didn't have the matching blue head-stock, but I just couldn't do it. I ended up purchasing a 65 Dakota Red Mustang and a 65 Olympic White Mustang for the same price I would've paid for 1 blue Competition Mustang. I also almost purchased the Red Competition because the prices were a little better, but I had just paid for the Dakota Red and I didn't really want 2 red Mustangs. lol I think I'll save up and buy one of the Japanese Burgundy Competitions. Some people are just asking WAY too much for the vintage ones and I can't even imagine what they're charging for the 69's with the matching head-stock. I think I'm one of the few people who's not really a Cobain fan that thinks the Jag-Stang looks awesome.
Now I know the secret to Kurt's tone! Those Univoxs were probably he true favorite....that was like his first guitar. One of em anyways. They do have a unique sound to them. But instead of getting one, I think I'll purposely steer away from them in order to aquire my own sound.
Ever since i first heard about the Ferrington 'stang, i've been O B S E S S E D with Bartolini pickups, but pretty much nobody carries the V88-D if they even carry their non-bass stuff at all. I was worried i'd have to set up a saved search on Reverb and pay BS prices on a used one. Thanks for linking to where i can just buy them.
Hello! Nice video! Do you know what exact Duncan designs were put in? Like the model number? HB103 or 101 etc. Im planning on modifying too and really like how these sound! Thanks in advance :)
When you play all apologies do you use original or reissue pickups? According to you , except all apologies, on which recording songs Kurt did use the ferrington? The bridge pickup is cool ? Thx guy 🙏
Hey the amp I have is different than yours, do you know number Kurt cobains gain knob was on and I also have a drive select and if I need to turn that on, what volume what I put it at? I’m going for a nevermind tone if that’s helps. I would appreciate if you can help at all.
