The So This Is My Why podcast features inspiring people about how they found their whys (i.e. passion/purpose in life), and how they turned their whys into realities, providing the blueprint for others to do the same.
How wonderful! Hope you enjoyed it. Arthur has had such an incredible career with the wildest stories!! And definitely has a great view on segmentations 😉
Very inspiring and informative interview.. thank you for Woon’s frankness and generosity in sharing.. especially love the idea of planning for one’s next act 15 years in advance… I will try to do that ❤🙏
Sorry about that :( None of it was AI assisted. They're all manual cuts that take 4-6 hours to do; we are always trying to do better (not video editing experts)! Thought it might be better to have shorter interviews and permit the video to have some chopped up moments, but maybe we should just posted unedited interviews up? This is already relatively unedited. What do you think? 😅
I thoroughly enjoy this podcast and look forward to watching the other episodes. I was the video editor for one of the "Extraordinary People" series, specifically the episode on photographer Chua Soo Bin. It was challenging working with a perfectionist, but through Tai Ho, I realized how shallow and imperfect I was.
This guy is over thinking. Where is God? Our mindset needs to be positive. No point looking back. Even if one is married, you can't guarantee your spouse will not die first and having children also can't guarantee they will take care of you. Life is short - Be happy and have a positive mind set. This guy sounds like he is in depression. God bless you bro.
I think most people associate with single hood when you are in your 40s or later as being picky. But it is not really the main reason for all. Also since he is still able to find a partner, he should focus on cherishing the current one and look forward. Life is a learning journey, whatever decision you make at any point in time can be a good lesson for later. He already has achieved many milestones and has been in a privileged position before. That is quite good already.
Arthur, your words have been such a blessing, I have shared it with my family! Thanks to this podcast that I got to hear you speaking the Good News! Right place and right time today! Appreciate the free e-book too.
Those ppl that is critical to his talk here, pls go get a useful life for yourself 1st before spewing your qualified shit everyehere, unlike Mr Woon whom is sharing his immense wisdom in this interview. Thank you sir, my upmost respect to you and to your most polite lady host here. ❤
Good interview. You may consider interviewing Koh Boon Hwee, Tan Lai Yong, George Goh, Kenny Yap, Peter Seah, Jayakuma, Hsieh Fu Hua, Ng Kok Song, Adam Khoo, Lim Hock Leng, Chew Choon Seng.
At times when many were younger i see the cherrie picking behavior for partners too insensitive and not allowing to put yr life together with a imperfections partner as a criteria for selection ,are these way consider as a arrogant habit that will sparrow into a lost hope when you seriously want it ....but gone are the time when these opportunities are no longer available. There are no same side to a coin. But also a reminder to many younger generation there are no perfect person or a perfect partner. Do not let the arrogant of ourselves becomes regret of thoughts.
Buddha would say otherwise. The feeling of loneliness arises because people believe in the existence of a "self" within them, leading their minds to constantly seek entertainment. Relationships can also be harmful to children; consider the high divorce rate as evidence that marriages are not necessarily a solution to one's life.
This writer is so negative to these elders who have reached more than 70 years old and need people to make them happy infact is us to make ourselves happy and how you think to make yourself happy even though you are in a crowd if you think miserable you will be miserable even if you are surrounded by the crowd...Singapore need elder centers to provide them transportation from their house to the center for them to learn computer, painting, cooking, dancing, singing, Tai Chi exercise and any exercise for the elders to have a flexibility of the bodies as what the American are provided for their elders ...after all life will not be this mundane if they are looking forward to see their friends in the center or to improve their being ....Happiness is what you think and how you think to create happiness for yourself not others ...As Asian the concept to live with your parents is still a better choice then sending them to senior housing where most parents will prefer to live with their children where they can take of their grandchildren where a memory will be remembered by their grandchildren when they are not around ...Life is a circle , parents take care of their children when they are young and children will take care of the parents when they are unable to take care of themselves and will live peaceful from this earth knowing they have done what they done when they depart ...
Seeing him for the first time though more familiar with his book "Musings", I love Woon Tai's down-to-earth way of looking at life and aging. He observed rightly that Yip Yew Chong's career is peaking in his middle years: indeed talent has no age. (I met Yip before he became famous, doing a wall mural in Chinatown during lunchtime on a very hot afternoon!)
What is this guy talking about ? Billions of human being come and go since time immemorial. As such any person is only one in the billions at any time regardless who one is. So why ponder so much about life ? Life is just a passage of time. Every day, if you are able to wake up to function, that is to breathe, to eat, to walk, to feel, to have sex, to see, to talk, to work, to sleep, etc, etc as a human being, just do it and let time brings you to death by every second. And in your daily functioning, just enjoy your life and careless how other people live their life. If this guy is already 65 year old and still worrying and not understanding about the complexities of life, then I think he has been living a very meaningless life.
This is such a humble and authentic view of you and your heart and passions Woon Tai Ho. To know you in so many different settings and subjects and in each you bring a special passion and perspective teasing out the things we all never knew and need to know. You help bring out what makes incredible people so special and why we need their insights. Art, Politics, Social & Society there is no subject which you cannot enlighten us in new and fresh ways that is uniquely "Woon Tai Ho" (I hope a new adjective). All blessings to you my friend! Your wooden rabbit friend. Lets return to Myanmar together
