Just about to do mine but I guess there no ignition live at the back end of the van? Also the previous owner carpeted over the panel to get access so will have to cut that back and re carpet. Which fuse did you splice into and what’s it used for ?
Thanks so much, I put mine in today, my caddy is different Theres no mirror at the front because there is no windows and there is plastic between the front seats and back of the van I bought a suction cup mirror to attach the screen to, ran the wires got them into the back but having issues with the door itself I tried to take off the cover on the inside of the back door, no joy 😅 I do have to replace the back break light glass so seen how thats done which is a two in one Great video thanks for thorough explanation
Hi, how much did you end up using thr roof bed? Did you wish youd gone for the scenic canvas? How is the head beight in the roof bed flr sitting up there enjoying the view? Looking to have a west dubz fitted for my scorland trip!
Hi there, the roof bed was rarely used and would only really be suitable for a child to stay in. I would highly recommend getting the scenic canvas without the roofbed. This would give you more headroom.
Hi I have a vw caddy camper (tramper in Germany ) have been looking at maybe a roof box tent or something what you guys have done. Can you tell me roughly what your conversion cost and are these units available to buy . Thanks Drew
Hi guys, great channel, love your videos. I’m currently converting my Caddy Maxi as well and was wondering which colour/style of Altro flooring did you use?? It looks really good. Thanks again. 👍👍
I just bought the glass for my caddy and a nibbler after watching your video. Did you find the glass handed for each side? My instructions were rather basic without pictures.
@@Georgous92 Amazing, the nibbler makes the job alot easier! Yeah the glass should be handed for each side. I would have a dry fit of the windows up against the side of the van before fitting. As some of the glass doesn't have the best shape
Hi, great job you’ve both done looks fab. Can I ask what the width of the sleeping area? Can you both fit up there comfortably?? Looking to do something similar if you both fit.
@@cruisycampers4749 hi, yes also wondering what the width is, I see reimo say 93cm wide sleeping area, is that what you have, out to the edges? A lot of of literature says they sleep 4. I assume they mean 2 children upstairs?
It's a Beautiful job! I have the same van, and the limits are endless as you have demonstrated, but my only query is; is the double bed really wide enough for two medium sized people ? Thanks dx
Hey guys this video saved me from scratching my head, but after installing the relay when I put in reverse with engine running the relay just buzzes and camera still doesn’t work? Do I need constant 12v or acc 12v to the relay
What would make the windows of a Volkswagen Caddy be lowered half way in a locked car! Happened 2 times so far. Nothing showed on video. This is not a joke! Please help me if you know anything about this...🥺❣
Hi, do you have a link for the tool you guys used to cut out the metal? I'm looking to install a window in my caddy too and this video made it look easy :) thanks
