Making a Cladded Caddy Maxi Pop Top Roof Bed

In this videos we are making an elevating roof bed for our WestDubs caddy Maxi Pop Top.
This involves us making the plywood base, cladding this and then use 4 way stretch carpet on the top.
Lastly we fit the gas rams and the hinges to create this awesome elevating bed.

Great video, thanks, was it the Underlig kids Ikea mattress you used? Also can you leave the mattress in when roof closed? If not storage would be a problem for me.

Hi Guys, enjoying your videos, inspiring just sorting a date out to get our Caddy fitted at Westdubs. Interesting to see you've fitted the back side window over the metal side, like the idea. We have windows tempted to seal up from the inside, Tad worried about condensation getting trapped? Same as you would like a cabinet on the side. Looking forward to more updates and videos.

Thanks for watching! Yeah you may be able to put a panel over it and insulate to avoid to much condensation. The caddy is now almost complete, so we will be revealing a final tour video soon!

Hi, great job you’ve both done looks fab. Can I ask what the width of the sleeping area? Can you both fit up there comfortably?? Looking to do something similar if you both fit.

Thanks, the poptop is actually pretty small. I would say it would only be suitable for one adult. The lower bed comfortably fits two adults though

@@cruisycampers4749 hi, yes also wondering what the width is, I see reimo say 93cm wide sleeping area, is that what you have, out to the edges? A lot of of literature says they sleep 4. I assume they mean 2 children upstairs?
