I began building models in 2022 and decided to start sharing them on social media in 2023. At this time, my videos focus on scale model builds and coverage of scale modeling related events I attend. I enjoy exploring a wide variety of subjects and scales. If you like what you see I hope you'll consider subscribing and checking out my other forms of social media.
Thank you for visiting! If you're a current modeler, I wish you continued enjoyment and success in this hobby. If you're a new or prospective modeler, build something! This is a very fun hobby and I hope you enjoy your experience with it.
Nice work my friend, don't usually watch plane builds but hey.. really enjoyed watching you build this, something different 🙂 well done, especially considering the limited time frame you had 👍🏼👍🏼
THERES ALWAYS ONE!!!!!!!! zzzzzzzzzz I feel for you as you must be a real "jobs worth" in life. You are exactly what is WRONG with our once brill Community. NEGATIVE, CRITISISE, JEALOUS, HATE, PATHETIC and many, MANY more which would take time to list and if im honest, people(a bit strong for you but ok) arent worth the oxygen it takes to say that. Please ignore this PLONKER, as your one very talented modeller. Id love to view his amazing work and talent but as usual, with these PLONKERS, they dont tend to have any content on their channel or anywhere else that it could be criticised as they can give it out, negative criticism but rarely do we see these incredibly talented, my dads better than your dad, know it all, seen it all done it all, i did my model whilst driving 3 formula one cars at 1000 yards up balancing on the nose of 10 great white sharks, work as they cant take it!!! If i was you id give your mouth a chance and learn when to give up. I mean how many negative comments do you have to post on one persons project, to realise nobody cares what you think or wants to listen to your Imature boring, change the record thoughts and comments...!!!! Aah bless ya..!!!! It looks great and thank you for not only posting your work for us to enjoy but taking the time out of your busy day to make it and doing this video. You hold your head high as you are one talented, hard working chap. Please stay safe and family too.
@@MottysMilitaryModels whoa, easy there mate, he didn't do anything wrong and was sharing his feedback. It's okay with me, I'm always open to feedback and criticism so I can improve in the future. I get what you're saying too but let's go easy on each other and keep the hobby fun.
@@scaleffect mate, that was written ages ago, why thats come tl you brother then i really dont know. It was even for your channel, nor the rivet counter, i appoloogie truly. You know its completely baffled me, so please ignore and the author of thde commdnt, sofry again and stY safe. Both of you
@@BigSkyModelWorkshop thanks pal! Glad you enjoyed it. And yeah, I too know the pain of trying to install a harness to FIA-spec while half upside down inside a jungle gym of a cage 🤣
Great video! I appreciate the clear well-lit camera shots and clear narration. I grew up with Fords and the color you chose for the engine looks most like what I would see when my dad was working on them. Usually I see people paint their Ford engines way too vibrant or deep a blue. I wish kit manufacturers would keep the body on the sprues instead of cutting them off at the factory. I have opened kits that had significant gouges, including major parts of panels cut off due to the person in the factory being too aggressive with their cuts.
Thanks for checking it out, I'm glad to know I guessed close on the engine color. Luckily with my fix to the rocker panel it's not too obvious those giant chunks were filled, at least it was on a low part of the car your eye is not immediately drawn to I guess.
Very nice build. Thanks for the little notes explaining the materials used, the paint, for example. It appears that Hasegawa did a pretty good job producing this kit; kudos to them for clean molds!
@@bobyoung1698 thank you, glad you found those helpful. The kit is showing its age a bit but it still seems like a pretty good model for being many years old now and re-released so many times with different decals.
@@gatblau1 thank you, it was a bad idea because it was so small lol. I couldn't film any of it because my giant fingers were in the way the whole time trying to make such tiny pieces 😵💫
lol. Race cars are for going not stopping. I’ve said it on plenty of other platforms but awesome job, my friend. You did some wonderful work on this one. You’re ready to tackle anything now, no matter what you say. If you have deep scratches in clear parts ever you can go even harsher than 8000. I went down to 2000 on my last airplane canopy and went up from there turned out very shiny and clear indeed lol. Anyways. Great build and great video.
@@kyledehartsscaleworks thanks pal appreciate all your support! I was afraid to start too low on the grits for the clear parts so that's a good tip, thanks for the heads up
@@scaleffect yeah. It’s all clear plastic you know, so as long as you’re getting it smoothed back out completely then it’s no problem. And with a quick polish at the end to blend the micro scratches it’s even better!! And you’re welcome!
Beautiful Porsche, Elliot! If you think race car decals are hard, you should try some of the decals for model diesel locos from back in the day, especially the Santa Fe Warbonnet!
Excellent build video and I appreciate your honesty with build and paint issues. I'm curious as to why you wear gloves at all stages of paint and assembly. I understand painting of course, but assembly and detail paint just seems like I'd be all thumbs without that tactile feedback.
@@wayneburgess6591 I'm an amateur so disclosing mistakes is part of learning. I wear gloves in my videos because I have very bad hands and fingers, I worry people will find them distracting and not like the video as a result. It is very inconvenient at times but it's better than nasty comments I suppose. Thanks for watching I appreciate it it
Very nice result. And about the safety belts, you made them from scratch, does not matter when they are not 100% correct, you have made then. You can buy everything, build the fun is sometimes putting something from yourself in it. And they don,t look to bad. Please do not be to harsch on yourself. The perfect kit has not been build yet,and never will be build.100 pair of eyes will always see something. Thanks for showing us you build
@@scaleffect 1 question.Does that stand alone spoiler parts comes with the kit/????Don t worry,i am 61 years old and still learning everyday. I have here the Tamiya Sauber C9 still to build. Moving from streetcars to racecars slowly. But i like the livery on your kit. Will order it this month when i do my big buy in Japan. And keep on building and i am looking forward to the next build..
@@janvanrenselaar5998 that's awesome 👍. Yes this kit comes with the parts to do the standalone wing as shown, the only details I added in the build were the seatbelts and the antenna, everything else is as it comes in the box.
Dude, that thing is awesome! I know there a parts you are not happy with (my Porsche is the same), but it turned out killer. Oh...and I did the exact same thing you did with the tires and the clear. Try brushing on Vallejo Matt Varnish after you've put the tire decals and they are on the wheel. I look forward to seeing it in person!
@@BillyStrangeAutoModels great tip, I was thinking and acrylic might be more flexible and work better so I will have to give that a try next time. Maybe even like a thinned out matte medium latex type product. Looking forward to putting our Porsches side by side soon! Thanks for checking it out. I'm way behind on my video watching I gotta get caught up on yours
I believe the reason they didn’t have brake calipers on this Porsche was because back then brake pads and calipers were too expensive to produce, so their racers were taught to win or not come back if they lost. They would rather sacrifice the car and the drivers. (Source: “trust me bro”)😂 Anyway, another great build!👍
@@LeftCoastModelCarBuilds thanks man, appreciate it 🍻 hope you'll get to see it again soon at a show, mainly because that means we'll get to hang out again
Man that looks great. I hear you about the small imperfections but I also think we are our own worst critic. Great filming, great edits and a great build.
Some great looking builds! Model shows can be challenging to video due to lighting and crowds. You made it look easy, great video and show thanks for taking us along.
@@Drummerboy67 thanks for watching and welcome back to the hobby! If I can do it anyone can, just a little practice and patience is all it really takes.
