omg beth you're living your best life which I just didn't fathom to be possible after leaving your Sunny southern California backyard .... are you sure you didn't enroll your daughter in Florence just so you have frequent Italy trips lined up ??!
Oh it’s wonderful seeing you guys, the care and work that goes into winemaking is really impressive. So much heart goes into each bottle, and from the yum smile on your face lol it makes for a fantastic glass of wine. Just remember never ever and mean never ask if they wash their grapes 😂😂 Take care and thanks for another beautiful video.
Looked like a fun day, Beth! It's been a few years since I've done a wine tasting day, but I used to live near the wine producing region of New York State so did a couple. Always interesting, though I'm not a big wine drinker so was a disappointment to the vineyards since I bought very little and sometimes nothing! 😂 You looked adorable - loved your sweet blue rain jacket. What a lovely color on you! Looking forward to your next Italian trip video, too!
Aww so glad you enjoyed it Lucinda! Yes that is the coziest rain jacket! It has a type of flannel lining in it which makes it so great for damp, rainy days! And a hood is always nice too! :)
Don't feel bad Beth, I would have asked about washing the grapes too. LOL It definitely is a complex process with many variables like weather, snails and rabbits. Who knew? Anyway, thanks for taking us alone and your dinner guests are very lucky people.
Very soon! I'm waiting for my camera equipment to arrive from LA! It's due to arrive in early October! So just doing a few excursions to keep you all entertained until I can get back at it! Shooting food demos with my phone isn't the greatest :(
OMG Beth...You mentioned the I Love Lucy wine episode but before you had I was thinking of another TV sitcom, "Kramer". In the opening intro pic of this video the man in the middle, I swear I thought was Kelsey Grammer! Is it just me? And I was also thinking...Snails, Rabbits & Mushrooms their thinking a "problem" & I'm thinking dinner!🤣 Anyway, a great video as yours always are.😊 See you soon😉 Tonda USA
Not only very interesting and informative, but I enjoy the fact that people enjoy what they are doing and staying as natural as possible without using chemicals with their productions of producing their wines.
Are you supposed to switch the wine in your glass clockwise or counterclockwise? I was not sure it looks like clockwise another beautiful video. Cheers 🍷
Oh how great! I was in LA in June visiting my friends and we went to wine tasting in the central coast area around Paso Nobles and I really enjoyed it. Glad you enjoyed that experience too. Happy days!
Hello Beth, I have a question. When you serve wine do you use the appropriate glasses for each wine? When my husband & I went to Italy we were surprised that most restaurants served wine in tumblers. We thought that was funny, as we’ve spent a pretty penny on nice glasses. Thanks for a great video! ✨🍷✨
I know! It's funny how you see that in Italy! I use a basic wine glass for all of it (I'm not that fussy that I serve red wine in a red wine glass, and white in a white wine glass) I just use an all purpose for everything :)
So interesting Beth!! How different generations process is so different from each other. Each has its own unique method that ends up with the same product a wonderful tasting wine. The first vineyard seems to me to be more organic and time tested. The second vineyard with its concrete barrels would appeal to younger wine drinkers in my opinion. Thank you and Phillippe for a wonderful rainy day exploration, I loved the impromptu accordion section so typically unabashed French 💝💝 Bisous😘😘😘
@@EntertainingWithBeth I was just so sweet and I will tell you that the accordion has always been a fascination with me with all those buttons. My Mom used to play it and I was always mesmerized by how she just knew which buttons needed to be pressed. 🤣🤣
Ha! Oh yes my little blue raincoat goes everywhere! If that coat could talk! Ha! It was a birthday gift from Philippe it's from Lululemon :) it's great!
Oh!! So it's close to La-Roche -Sur-Jon and I went there when we visited La Faut-Sur-Mer and the Aiguillon for our architecture urbanism projects love all this coastal areas they are awesome, so great to find out another great place to visit form there!
Aww you are so welcomed! I promise we'll get back to the recipes soon, I'm just waiting for my camera equipment to arrive from LA! It's due in early October! :) Can't wait!! But in the meantime I have some fun videos from Italy coming up while we wait! :) xx
Oh yes, I have taken years of classes, but really the thing that has helped me the most is spending time over the last 20 years withPhilippe‘s family because none of them speak any English. I think you really don’t learn a language until you’re forced to use it And I think that has really helped the most! My French isn’t great, but it’s enough to get by and I’ve already seen improvement just by living here the last few months ha ha ha!
Wine is funny. I find that if it tastes really alcoholic then that’s not the good stuff ha ha ha the good stuff has all kinds of flavors from fruity to spicy and smooth! Wine tasting events are great way to see what types of wine you like with knowledgeable experts that can tell you more about the flavors you are drawn to 👌
Oh yes, we are eating our way through the city! 😂😂😂💕 it’s been so much fun to spend time here and to think I’m now only 3 hours away. It’s the best! 🇮🇹🍝
