Hi Ron Enjoyed this video. Trying to master the criss cross, getting there but slow going! I am using a plastic rope and although the length is correct would you recommend a heaver type of rope to slow the movement down? Thanks
Hi there! I would recommend the standard 5mm PVC rope. However, using a heavier rope gives better feedback and control. Whichever you feel more comfortable with is fine as long as you're able to execute properly. Hope this helps. Thanks!
I have seen quite a few videos on learning how to jump rope crisscross cross overs. Yours is one of the best. You really break it down. Awesome. Please update your title by adding the words, 'how to jump rope'. This video deserves more views.
Thanks a lot, Jennifer! Hope your knee gets better soon. Just take it slow as you learn the proper tekk for smoother crosses. Sure you'll get this!! 👍🏻
Hi Ron! 👋You have a new subscriber from England - moi! I recently started learning the mic release and previously watched numerous videos and cannot be happier to have come across your tutorial today (Sunday 2nd March). I'm so inspired now to hit the gym floor practicing and practicing - thanks for your slow breakdown tutorial of how to do! 😃
Hello Jennifer! Really appreciate your feedback. Hope you find my tutorial helpful. Would love to hear your progress with it. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort. Good luck and have fun! 😁
Hello there! Of course, you can. Though I strongly recommend using training shoes with cushion, or at least a jump mat if you really prefer skipping on bare feet. These would help prevent any injuries, plus, it is quite painful to hit your toes with the rope. ☺️
I'm hopeful na magagawa mo rin yung ibang tricks as long as you are patient enough at syempre consistent with the drills. Feel free to share your progress with me. Good luck and have fun skipping! 😄
@@rontalon thank you sir, pinapanuod ko halos everyday hehe hopefully mafulfill ko, nakakaadict po ung jumprope, mas pinili ko kesa sa jogging ko last time hehe
Bro may tips ka sa consecutives haha. Nawawalan ako rope tension. Yung paikot nung rope sa likod ako nagsstruggle. Pansin ko din may slight turn ka sa body. Crucial para mas makalayo yung backhand?
Hello Jake! Actually you're right with regards to the slight body twist when doing the EB cross. It provides an extension for the arms behind the back kasi. With regards to rope rotation, esp. yung sa likod, all you need to do is gently rotate the rope. Take note na yung front wrist should do most of the rotation and provide rope tension. This is more effective when doing consecutive EBs. Hope this helps. 😊
Hi Xu! Three factors might be the reason why: 1) Rope is too long which makes it harder and slower to rotate, 2) Hand speed is not fast enough to execute the DU cross, or 3) You might be overdoing the cross motion, extending your arms outwards too much, making it difficult and delaying the recovery. The tutorial has some tips that can help improve your tekk. Thanks!
Learning these tricks took me about 2 years to master (or at least execute efficiently). It was never an overnight thing for me. All you need is to keep it consistent, always be patient, learn from your failures and most important, enjoy every moment! There are a lot of jumpers (in YT or IG) which can provide you some helpful tips, tricks to look forward to learning, something that could inspire and motivate you more. Keep in mind that learning the basics will benefit you the most. It will serve as your core when learning the more advanced tricks, making it much easier to execute and understand. Hope I was able to give you the motivation you need. 😁👍🏻
