Dude, the mainstream skating money business might have hated drugs but common man. Hard drugs is like 40 percent of the whole skate culture. In the real skate scene it's not just widely accepted, it's borderline a requirement. The only exception I can even think about is Tony Hawk but he's a f*king nerd to not only skaters but to everyone with half a braincell

Travis may have been the first to land the 360 in a foam pit or inflatable ramp but Deegan was most definitely the first to land it in a competition. Travis went out and tried it in an X-Games and crashed then Deegan went after him and landed it minutes later in the same X-Games. Maybe Deegan didn’t “invent” the trick but was the first to land it when it mattered. Not taking anything from Travis but on the same hand you can’t take that from Deegan.

I used to climb at a moderately high standard for the time. I ran into a climbing partner who still climbs. He was telling me some of his current ventures. In the conversation l said, "there are more important things in life than climbing." He said, "who told you that, your mother?" I replied, "no" that he had said that to me in the past. got to meet him and race pitbikes with him and a bunch of other guys from nitro circus. hands down some of the best people i have ever got the chance to hang out and ride with. and the first time i seen him was on tv when i was 6 when he did the first double backflip in x games. small world

I have been around Phelper and have been at skate sessions with Phelper. Quite a few skaters I know from the SF scene were friends with the guy. I never liked Phelper that much so I have no problem with him not getting a RIP mention.
