It's amazing how even i thought that they could not do something as amazing as this after watching episodes 7 to 9. I did not think that was Luke until the very end.
One of my favorites. & I remember writing an essay on this story long ago & I took the perspective of Carmilla being a succubi rather than a vampire b/c I felt it better suited the characters descriptions & representations. However yes I do get the connection to assuming she was a vampire although both were eluded to & never actually clearly divulged or stated exactly as I recall. & personally I didn’t see or feel the more intimate sexual connotations in describing a same sex relationship so much as it was projecting predator vs. prey & going after the weaker or who was viewed as the weaker more obtainable prey. Often correlating to the female gender which in majority of vampire material happens to often be what’s depicted & objectified & presented. A young woman becoming bfs under false guise w/another young woman is an easy portrayal & in effect if you consider the historical aspect this was even more so true. & in some cultures still even to this day it is true that females are supervised & really only allowed to have female associations. But wth do I know it’s all rather presumptuous w/out actually being able to ask the author himself exactly what his precise intention was when he wrote this fantastic story or if he even considered the potential sexual connotations eluded to or seen as being eluded to isn’t it?

And my comment applies, because this video is about Star Wars and also, many people have commented that Luke was treated better in this TV show than he was in the rotten sequels.
