What glues are acceptable for use? It's not painful and necessary if you're going to show your dog. Floppy ears don't cut it with judges and the Airedale Terrier. I have a 20 week old pup, and this starts the age where the cropping is preferable.

You idiots who know nothing about ear gluing. I have a Kerry Blue and her ears are glued till 9 months. It causes no harm at all. I love my dog and would never harm her, but certain breeds, especially the Terriers need this done to look right. Don't comment if you don't know what you are talking about. It's political correctness gone mad, and if you don't like it, mind your own business. PS - My vet said it causes no harm, so you who work in a vet clinic are a liar !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, this is incredibly painful for the dog. Ever wake up after sleeping on your ear wrong? Imagine that pain, but constant. I work in the veterinary field and every dog I have seen with this procedure was extremely sensitive about having it's head touched.

This glue comes off after several weeks, the idea is to hold the ears in place to allow the cartilage to reposition in a resting position that conforms to their breed standard.
