What's to be gained in a 10", 12 "or 16" inch barrel in 9mm? I've read there is really no gain going for the longer barrel because the pistol caliber bullet loses velosity? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I was leaning toward the FM- 9 with the 10" or 12" barrel, but I'm a little puzzled on what's best!
Check the firing pin .. i had the bolt mushroom where the firing pin goes in .. was unable to remove it .. needed a Dremel that lip off ..so the firing pin could be removed .
As of today 11/24/2023, Brownell's has that Built complete lower (minus the slide on brace part) $239.99 , the 8.5" upper with side charging handle - $379.99, 5" rear charge handle upper like yours - $279.99, and the 4" rear charge handle upper - $259.99. so still SUPER affordable! VERY HIGH QUALITY, and THE BEST last round bolt hold open on the market! I love all mine. Especially the 4". For $500 to $650 you can get a 9mm PCC with the king of LRBHO. Best LRBHO design EVER! Just for the record, I run factory Glock mags AKA- "Candy bar". My FM9 eats EVERYTHING! Hollow points, standard ball, ALL weights, and VERY ACCURATE! Reliable like the sun! Check those ejector screws. On a side note, I also have the expensive CMMG with radial delayed blow back. A sweet (expensive) set up, but believe it or not, my FM9 is more accurate. The FM9 is 7 oz heavier, but I'll take it. I prefer the FM9 over all. Merry Christmas.
Don’t know how you can do a honest review until you have shot the gun for a year at least. All guns look great when first unboxing . Run a thousand rounds through it first.
Sorry if i missed it but have you ran hollow points through it? Im considering this for a defensive weapon and just wanted to see how it ran hp rounds.
i literally just had the same issues with over heating only i found the issue, after back flushing and disassembling the entire disassemble-able parts of the water flows i found my issue was fragmented impeller peices located in the lower unit directly from the impeller pump to the feed tube the pump goes to up about 9inches into the pipe was an entire 6 peices of rubber blades now my engine ran with water during months of running before i just got sick of never going over 2400rpm, back flushing alone couldnt get the fragments out, i ended up taking a long wire and bent a tiny hook in the end and pulled each peice out one at a time. my engine seemed to run water only causing overheating when the water pressure sensor was plugged in, yes in. but this just goes to show that somtimes you really need to look hard for those peices as black in a black pipe can be mistakenly overlooked. hope this helped :)
Il use mine for competition shooting I've put 10000s of rounds through it without a problem.. I love mine and thier customer service has been well beyond excellent
The biggest problem Academy does not ship guns. If l wanted one l would have to get on a plane to Texas. For all the cost and hassle you could get a Browning.
MAN, I saw the same Shotgun,...I'm also looking for a Budget Shotgun,...& I'm planning to get one at Academy shortly,...Good Review, Thanks for the Information on this Shotgun
I agree with the customer service it blew my mind how quick the response time was and they actually sent me the part twice just because he wasn’t sure the part I needed came with a screw and it did but now I have a backup as well so if that’s important to you you cannot go wrong with FoxtrotMike
Excellent video, based on the data you provided I purchased the Yildiz Legacy HPS20. The S after the HP stands for steel receiver in lieu of an aluminum receiver. I paid $569 for the shotgun. I thought the extra $69 was worth having steel receiver. I believe that everything else on the shotgun I bought is the same as what's on your video. I look forward to using it for the first time. If it were not for your excellent video, I probably would not have bought a shotgun. Thank you again.
Primary Arms sell some of their stuff. I just looked and it looks like they don’t make this exact one any longer. I have to image that have something similar but I haven’t looked www.primaryarms.com/foxtrot-mike-products-9mm-tri-lug-sba3-pa-exclusive-pistol-7
I liked your review. I sorta have an FM PCC. I purchased a PWS PCC-9, which is a collaboration between Primary Weapons Systems and FoxTrot Mike's. Sadly, it's currently out of production. I believe FM makes the upper and PWS makes the lower. Mine also includes the FM last round bolt hold open feature. It was one of reasons I went with the PWS PCC-9. I may be wrong, but I think PWS also uses a proprietary Bolt of their manufacture? Mine has a really nice trigger that's nitrate coated. Everything you said about your FM PCC, goes for the PWS version. I haven't had an issue with extractor.
Ditto on the customer service. They are great, fast responds and follow-up.. This the way a company should be run. I have the FM-15 and will be getting the FM-9 shortly. I hope they will make a 10mm platform as well.
SPZ stands for superpoze. The name coming from the old browning superposed. All over and unders are called superpoze in Turkey. Yıldız, Dickinson ( Akdaş and akus here) and cz (huglu here) make wonderful over and unders. They are really good guns
I think that’s normal. You end up putting a different one in each barrel. Like Improved in the top and Modified in the bottom. It’s worked well for me doing that.

The cheap BRS stove I got off amazon failed the first time I used it. There was a slight wind and the flames from the stove heated the legs quickly to where they bend under the weight of the pot. I decided to not risk it and got an MSR Pocket Rocket 2 - a bit more expensive, a bit heavier, but at least a trusted brand and product I know wont fail on me for many many years. Oddly enough the BRS stove I got has very good reviews, so I am guessing they have quality control issues.
I agree, FM service was excellent, i even received text message from (I think the owner himself) about magazine release spring, and they send me 2 firing pins after the initial one was broken on it's tip.
The Legacy HP has the aluminum alloy receiver not stainless. The Legacy HPS has the stainless receiver. About a $70 price difference between the HP and the HPS. BTW the Lineage (the black one) also has the aluminum alloy receiver.
I’m glad that you got everything worked out with your gun. I have a brigade bm 9 and love that gun 600 bucks out the door works great. It has the last round bowl hold open. I also have a banshee and 9 mm love that gun lot more money but well worth the money. I wouldn’t say the brigade is up there with a banshee but it’s not far behind for the money.
I definitely say BM9 is up there with the banshee especially with their rail I can’t believe they aren’t more popular I own several AR’s and if I had to pick one all around fun gun it would be a close race between my FM9 & BM9 but I think that because of the rail and how compact my BM9 is it edges out my FM9. You cannot go wrong with either they are my #1 & #2 favorite guns hands down
You're 100% correct, great customer service means EVERYTHING!!!!! How many times have you called a company & it's patched over to the Philippines(no disrespect)...or even in the US, the ppl on the other end are out of the loop never knowing what's going on but apologizes a million times lol! Anyway, nice gun...I'm on the fence G17 w/an MCK or this FM9 🤔
I’ve been studying which PCC to buy for a long long time. I finally ordered the 7.5” with the tri-lug upper. Of course everything is on back order so I’m waiting for it. The lower is also on back order. I could have got something like the CZ or the CMMG; but for the money the FM seems the best for me. FM’s website shows factory Glock, MagPul or ETS mags are the ones they recommend.
I love it when people put cheap back up iron sights on a PCC. That Holosun optic is much more durable, robust, and longer lasting in terms of battery life. You don't need those cheap back up sights. Adds weight for no reason.
Either one works great. It’s like 50/50 for people. I would say if you already have a 12 gauge, get the 20 and you have both. The 20 is fun to shoot as there is less recoil.
Great review. I was looking at a CZ Drake or CZ Teal. Found the Yildiz Legecy HD and felt felt the quality, and fit to be tremendous. Giving to my daughter to start shooting clays with dad.
One thing I don’t like about AR9’s, even though I’m a huge Glock fan and have 2 Glock 9mm’s, I’d the way they look with that little magazine so I just put them on a mil-spec lower and use the endomags from P-mag and I’m happy with them, never had an issue whatsoever with the mags and now I love the way they look.
new to AR market but would one recommend just getting a an AR chambered in 223/556 and just get another upper reciever for 9 mm? i get that 2 guns is better then 1 yes but am i missing some other pros/cons besides that?
