If you don't have coffee beans already growing, then having a building making coffee serves no purpose. I would turn it off and move the worker to one of your farms. Maybe turn off that one fuel building for the time being if you can get a worker to a farm. I believe that you never selected anything to be made in your Smith. If there is a question mark above the building, then nothing is being made. In the top right corner, there is a way to see what seeds and animals you have available. I believe if you use the " i " key it will pull up your inventory. Just keep in mind some seeds need farms, orchards, or a nursery. Hover over the seed and it should say.
The buildings you can use for heating are the Chopping House and the Sawmill. You should have access to the Chopping House right away, the Sawmill needs a tech point to get. I recently got the game and my first two towns had their problems. I would go through the first level of each technology category and read aloud what they do and what building(s) they offer. It helped me make sense of things and set up some basics. Sorry to keep bothering you with the game, but I like seeing how people set up their areas and whatnot. Good luck and have fun.
Wood can be turned into fuel, there are buildings that do that. When your mining is in motion, there are ways to use that as well. If you click on that big tree you can transplant it, which is a way to move it. Those big trees will pop up from time to time.
You should use dirt roads when setting up a settlement, you are using up your resources on the roads you are using. You need to put down storage yards throughout your area. Your first warehouse is full and now your people are leaving piles of stuff all over. You need to clear out large areas of trees with "gather all" ... The trees grow back and there is food on the ground your people can use as well. You need wood for building and heating. You have a bunch of technology points, use them. You gather points naturally and there are ways to get more. Especially for agriculture and mining. The big houses hold more people but they won't have children, which keeps your city from not growing, or not growing as fast. The smaller houses have people move in and then children are produced. More people means more food needs, more water usage, and more fuel for heating needed.
I'm so glad that I found your channel and yes I did subscribe so please keep up the great work and I promise to keep coming back for more and sharing your video's with as many people as I possibly can because you definitely deserve it 👋😉👍
