St. Bernidet,I am sorry you had to live in abject poverty, because people were not generous, but used money to buy guns, bombs and bullets!! I'm so sorry , no one shared their wealth to help your extremely poor family!!! Please pray for us Bernadette!!

That's an excellent question. Well, St. Bernadette knew when she was leaving Lourdes in 1863 that she would never return. Her mission had been completed ... bringing Our Lady's message to the world. She then turned to her personal mission of living out her life dedicated to the Lord in her vocation as a Sister of Charity. Her illness and death are a part of her story and life in St. Gildard's convent in Nevers. We suppose that is why her body remains there today. There are relics of St. Bernadette visible and available for devotion in Lourdes.

@chrismason8476, We appreciate your comment. While you are correct, Saint Bernadette's legacy is felt strongly by many faithful. Her example is a model of saintly behavior. Also her 1st class relics are present. It is a Holy place. Please subscribe to continue watching more of our great content.

Pilgrim, My faithful friend like me; I know you are right in everything you said... Yes, you are completely right in what you listed... but what I meant was not the opposite of what you said... What I meant was this: He was a faithful person, but his body was deformed and decayed even though it was carefully mummified... His face turned black. Both of his arms rotted.... It frightened and disgusted those who saw it, so wax masks were placed on his face and arms... Therefore, when visited today, what you see is a mummy with a wax mask on its face... Only God is immortal and does not suffer from weakness... Belief in God has no need for fake miracles... You can already see countless miracles in everything God creates... What I have written so far are objective and uninterpreted facts... What follows is a call I will make to wake you up because I love your belief and point of view... God is one... Not three, five or more... He has no spouse, no partner, no equal.. He has no wife, mother, son or daughter... He is beyond the capacity of the human mind to comprehend... He is the creator of whole universe. He is the creator of galaxies and quasars... He is not a human who eats, pees and poops... With love... Stay safe...
Saint Bernadette is not a mask. She was a strong and faithful young woman who dedicated herself to a valuable Christian message and mission. She defied the corruption of local prosecutors who tried to threaten her family and silence her. When her mission in her hometown of Lourdes was complete, she joined a convent of the Sisters of Charity in Nevers, France, where she dedicated the remainder of her life to her religious vocation. Enduring prolonged and severe illness, she nevertheless committed herself to caring for the sick and wounded. She excelled in maintaining perfect obedience to the Roman Catholic Church, and her superiors. She died a painful death at 35, but never gave up her vows. So no, she is NOT a "mask". Which of those among us, who persist in discrediting a holy life, hide behind their own MASKS?
