You can also drill a small hole on the side if that shroud. Then you can insert a small allen key and just lever down on the release mechanism. It hardly shows and is a good fail safe even if you do fix the problem.

how did you get the indicators to work, ive done everything else but those indicators wont flash no matter if i use brown wires or green, any help would be much appreciated
Thanks for your video, as you described i drilled 1 x 10mm hole on the right inserted a piece of hooked piece of wire and hey presto - hatch open. In my case the solenoid has failed so currently awaiting a replacement.
My car has the problem twice and today is the 2nd time. The disfunction of the latch does it mean it needs replacing and I can't afford to have it happens all the time 😖
Thank you 🙏 sir. I ran to the station to get some gas tonight and after when trying to leave my 17 cbr600rr kept shutting off when I would put it in gear. Thought I left the kickstand down but it was up.. fiddled with the kick stand switch connection a little and moved the wire around making sure it wasn’t loose then started her back up. She finally would let me put her in gear, so I thought well let me check if she’ll cut off if I put the stand down while in gear.. and it didn’t. So now the bike thinks the kickstand is up and not down, and will let me ride off with the kick stand down. I always double check anyway but it’s definitely a nuisance not knowing if my sensor will decide to think my stands up or down. So this was helpful if I decide to just delete it. Thank you sir.
