This album was released Nov 1977 and I had no clue who The Ramones were then. My junior year of high school and me and my friends were all listening to what’s defined as classic rock now. Anyway, I’ve played this album several times today. I LOVE the quaver in Joey’s voice when he sings the word, hoppin’, at 0:13 and 1:02.
Great album….so funny they weren’t that popular then..now very popular…..saw them several times…get a ticket that day …party with a hip crowd in a Chicago north side neighborhood…great times….wont see that again
I saw the Ramones on their last tour in ‘95 at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas, a venue that only held about maybe 350 people standing room only. I think Joey might’ve already been suffering from his cancer, but they still played for 3 hours straight. And I couldn’t hear for at least 5 days after that, if that tells you anything. One of the best shows of my life!
