"Mr.Programmer, I've got my Hammer, I'm Gonna smash my, smash my R-A-D-I-OOOO-OOOO!"" These guys got me thru the 70's, 80's and 90's... Love for the Ramones and the Ramones' Family... Gabba Gabba, We accept Ya, We Accept Ya, One Of Us,,,
+RUBEN O ¡Totalmente!
A great reminder of how Joey was far and away the best vocalist in punk (ok not a huge compliment ha) and a truly great vocalist, period. I was lucky to have seen the Ramones twice, still have my t shirt I wore in high school. I was blow away how great Joey sounded live both times. His greatness lives on in videos like this. R A M O N E S !!
Exactly right. This performance is now 37 years old, yes? I'd say it still stands up just fine. Genius reduces the ephemeral aspects, leaving us with so much treasure.
Just brilliant, by everyone in the band. What a killer performance! Jeez. Damn inspiring. Joey's just losin' it, taking lots of chances mere mortals would not even think of.
Joey is nonpareil. Does all those "little" things that are intrinsic to a great vocalist. Leaves out the entire "We want the..." at one point; goes for super-drama on "allll niiight......". Can't be quantified. He simply has (had) the Gift.
Great sound on this live gig. I'm Swedish and this is from Swedish television. I would have given an arm to be born earlier so i could have seen this live.
So awesome! But it sounds a little weird without the lead guitar part. Who’s playing that lead guitar that randomly comes in at the second half of the song?
just asking.....are you perhaps insane? A rather sweeping generalization. Maybe you're not insane, but in the right, and I can't find my golgi apparatus with both hands. May we both prosper (esp. YOU).
Now. Did you figure that out all by yourself? If not, why not? I bet you did, a spellbinding solo adventure into the shallows of your intellect. How exactly did you come up with that pithy remark? Inductive reasoning? Deductive? Or a flash of dazzling insight, perhaps. C'mon; I'd like to know. Thrill me with your acumen. Oh, except that won't work, because you have none. Did you take into account my comment below, detailing the greatness of Joey & the whole band? If so, I fail to see any accuracy in your comment, dude. If not.....why not?? Thanks for knowing what I do & don't know, even though you do **not** in fact know. Not that, and my guess is not much else, either.
why didn't Johnny loosen up and play the songs right? Surely he could handle and stray from the barre chords here and there to make the songs interesting live
