Fishing is my passion. I fish for Crappie, Bream and other Fish in public lakes and rivers. My mission is to beat my P.Bs (personal best) on all fish species. Hopefully some of my fishing techniques can offer tips and tricks so you have more options when fishing. Also you can fish the same waters as they are open to the public. I have used most of my techniques in many other states and have had good results with the same type of tackle and lures. I will have some how to videos that may be helpful as well. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy the channel.
Same here as long as I can handle it. I actually stayed longer than I need to if they're biting good. As far as mosquitoes they're about three times worse than it was last year. 🦟 😳
@@FishYanker absolutely they are, and the evening is way worse than the mornings, better have some spray is you land to fish till dark, you wouldn’t be able to get the boat on the trailer, hahahahahah
It's called Ackermans. Part of the Norfolk River. Soon as you cross the Norfolk bridge it will be the first road to your right. You will pass Norfork resort
Yes sir, it spokes the fish in here. the water is too clear, they see us and run. But I have some other places I could try to do some jig pole fishing videos.
@@FishYanker yea, the stfrancis is so bad with them, I have seen 40 pounders jump, A fish that big could do serious damage Got hit 2 years ago by a good 10 pounder, made me gun shy
@@FishYanker maybe I will see yall one day when it cools off a little, I fish all over , I had asked do you ever do much vertical jigging for crappie or bluegill, , gotta love that tightlining
@clayton203 wow 😳 that is huge. I would be gunshot too. I wish they would commercial fish them. It would cut down on some of the big ones if they would put a bounty on them.
That would be cool. Yes sir, It used to be the only way I fished but I had to figure out other ways when fishing the cache River swamps. I like the swamp a lot because of the shade. I can hide from the sun.🌞 😂
Thank you. Some fish I clean to whole fry and some I scale first then Fillet them I have a simple 6 inch fillet knife and a old timer electric fillet knife. I like a spoon to knock the scales off with. A Table spoon is my go too. 😂
Great video as always sir, caught myself a nice 7” bluegill out of a local pond over the weekend. I keep thinking about what you’re teaching in these videos and trying to put that into effect.
Yes sir. Hopefully some of the tips will help in your area. Don't forget to try your area different times throughout the day just to see when the best bite is. Here sometimes it's in the morning and most of the time it's in the evening when it's hot but be careful and don't get too hot 🥵 out there. Shade and plenty to drink. Hope you catch some good ones.
Thank you. I have Been recovering from hernia repair surgery. Trying to get everything flowing again. Doing good so far. I got to get back over there to your channel. Appreciate it Midwest Hookset 😁
@@FishYanker man that place is beautiful. Love me some bream. When we were kids our Dad would take us and we would fill an ice chest in a couple hours. Great job on the videos .
@jasonmelancon8096 yes sir had a lot of great memories fishing with my dad. We also still a lot of coolers. It seems like they're a little harder to come by nowadays but we still have some good ones. Appreciate it Jason.
Great video. I love to see folks fish with family. I saw you talked a little about the tackle you were using but I may have missed the pound line you use. Thanks
@vermhot I agree, if you're fishing that deep you don't need the other one. I can usually get crappie to come up from 3 to 5 ft deep so I'm a lot shallower. Easily usually between 18 and 24 inches.
Yes every once in awhile but they killed all the grass, hydrilla and most of the lily pads so I don't know where they're at maybe up in the buck brush I guess.
@Gunnarhog. A lot of them should be in shallow bedding areas. I guess it all depends on the situations though. I will check back in 3 or 4 days and see what happens some spawn later and earlier in places.
Welcome back Yanker. Great seeing you fishing with Chuck again. Hopefully you weren't hurting too much by the time y'all stopped for the day. The twisting back and forth along with bending over to pick up dropped fish can be a workout. Have a good day and I will be looking forward to seeing your next video.👍🎣😃
Thank you. So far so good. Chuck helped me load the boat and he did all the hard stuff. Feeling pretty good so far. Definitely was good to get back out there. Thank you Ron. 😊
