Thank you for sharing your experiences. This was a wonderful video. I have physical disability that make it impossible for me to do what I used to do; hike. I enjoy watching others do it and seeing the world through their eyes. This was an excellent short film. Cheers from TX.
I love it but I would appreciate it if it would be a silent trip, (just music no voices) if you want to say something type it + use stabilization please. We need more videos like HarmenHoek, he is doing perfectly. Anyway, thank you for sharing that!
There already are decent silent hiking videos of the West Highland Way out there. This is the style I prefer for now, but thank you for your suggestions!
I feel you dear Ramona. I am a doctor too and only just now starting my gap year! Just discovered your amazing videos and I can say you are truly amazing!
Stumbled across your Thread leading to your RU-vid channel. Just finished this video, love the cinematic drone views of such stunning landscapes of North Wales! Seems like this was your life discovery trip! Glad that you have finally sorted out everything. Coming from the same background as you, I certainly understand your childhood and your parents’ expectations on you. 加油!
One of the best WHW videos on RU-vid, some fantastic compositions in there. The WHW is a cracking route and your film does a great job of showing off the stunningly beautiful landscapes along the route.
Wow after watching your incredible video I realised that you carried out this hike one week before me. It seems like I was a bit more lucky than you as the temperature had risen significantly to what you was stating it was. Incredible filming throughout and I sat back on my couch reminiscing every footstep took. Thank you for your hard work putting this magical piece together. 🙏🏼
Hey Ramona --What a nice hiking journey! Can't wait to watch more of your hikes. BTW, Have you hiked in Türkiye? If not, I'd like to invite you for your next unforgetable journey...
Wow just clicked on this and after the first few minutes, I’ve decided to pause and wait until I have more time this evening. This deserves to go on the big screen 🙂
I REALLY enjoyed being taken along on this trip with you. Some of the shots you captured were so beautifully done, the editing was so good and you seem so nice. New sub from me :) Subs say 3.99k, when I click, will I make it as your 4000th? About to find out 🤣🤣
The most mindblowing moments we often experience ... in retroperspektive ... when it needs the most power the most endurance the most resilience or the most skills - or all of them together. ☺ But at no other moment we feel so alive and others that dont go to that path will never ever reach that level of freedom and happyness! Well done... beautiful and professional produced film. Thank you...
This was an incredible series! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to share this with the world. Good luck in the future! - Instant New Subscriber
So courageous and strong you are Ramona! Perhaps my friend and I more than 70 and 60 will hiking through Trail in May 2025 . Of course overnight in Guesthouses. Thank you for your wonderful pictures of the scenery!
Truly inspiring! I’m from Scotland and have never walked the WHW. One of those things I’ve thought about but never got around to. Just returned from a trip home, saw the hikers on the route, and started thinking I’d love to plan a solo trip. Your film is captivating in its beauty and your gentle appreciation of the culture and landscape. My flight home is booked.
curious, how did you charge your camera and drone batteries during the hike (I assumed there was no electricity in the mountain or teahouse)? Solar panel chargers or just bring a bunch of extra batteries?
there was electricity and charging in most of the teahouses, apart from the two nights in higher altitudes so most of the nights I could charge my camera with no issues, and I didn't bring a drone
women - definitely get a FEMALE specific sleeping bag, the UNISEX ones are Men specific but they sound like we all fit in them and are warm, hmmm, if our offered a mens bag then walk out of the shop.
Ice lake is at the altitude of 4600M. And you reached there on your 3rd day of trek and stayed overnight there. This is not a very good idea. But very good video with narration. Congratulations
