Our eBook: Beginner's Introduction To Privacy amzn.to/3JPeHU3
This video reminded me of a movie i recently watched called Jupiter Ascending, where they took 100 people's lives to create one tube of stuff that would reverse aging ... and while i was watching that and this, thinking of that.. i thought to myself if it were possible, why not see what it was in those 100 people's cells that allowed for rejuvenation and not have to kill them to get it. How cool that would be, it would, of course create it's own problems like overpopulation, but those problems would also have built in solutions... like allowing for humans to live in places we would never be able to otherwise as we could eventually find a way to keep ourselves in a constant state of rejuvenation and thus live in low oxygen environments or other potentially detrimental places that would not be possible otherwise.
"Do you have something to hide?" a friend asked me when I mentioned this. "Yes, I do, my data and my privacy!" I responded. I am in the process of putting CALYXos on a new phone and Linux Mint on my computers. I'm not a nerd and this is a steep learning curve at my ripe old age of 76, but I am taking it upon myself to learn about privacy. I'm also abandoning most social media. I did just fine without it for most of my life and I will do just fine without it again. They have gone too far. I also took a sledge hammer to all my Smart gadgets. Bye Alexa.
Where is this SIM card located? I purchased a used Nissan frontier and failed emissions because there was a tracking device piggybacked on the OBDII plug. I removed it, went back to emissions inspection, and passed.
I'm talking to everyday regular people in stores and on the sidewalks so to speak on the street at work and so many people are becoming aware of what's going on except for the very youngest in our generation that are adults, they couldn't give two shits about anything other than being glued to their cell phone. But many people are becoming nostalgic for how things used to be, some are actually taking action for their privacy even if it means getting different operating systems for their phones and their computers and using an actual Palm pilot which you can still buy brand new in their original packaging on eBay by the way if you're interested. F* apps, smart phones, MS and all spying.
I remember when truck-tractors started getting AM/FM Radios with Bluetooth. There was this one truck I moved into and I didn't know it had paired to my phone until later. My Driver Manager, DM, called as I was going down the road and I was unable to talk with my headset as normal. The first place I found to safely pull over I started trying to figure out what was going on and correct it. I did and and quickly changed my settings on my phone and the radio. I don't need everyone listening to my conversation over the speakerphone. That's why I got a headset loud enough to hear over the diesel engine. The next time the truck was in the shop they had to change the batteries and that wiped the memory of the radio and I had to set it up again.
Nearly Anything online then you have no privacy. Worse, many Pay for IoT junk like camera(s) *in* a home to connected to Comcast or ADT that watches you to start and has huge security problems with firmware, back end software or both so 3rd parties can view and more.
do you not have black box insurance policies in the US? Those black box tracking devices are almost mandatory for new drivers these days. But at least then it has a point, it isnt just "with a free iphone".
Wait until Smart License Plates come online. They’re already available in CA & AZ. ALL your information will be instantly scannable & if they want, the government/DMV can turn it off remotely. The plate isn’t a traditional tin plate. The alphanumeric number is digital. So, it just disappears. It will be either solar powered or wired into the vehicle’s electrical system. They’re also real time GPS trackable. They’ve been tested for several years already. That’s another big reason the left wants everyone in an electric vehicles because they can be turned off. They also are mandating that manufacturers put tracking devises & the ability to shut the vehicle down in their cars & trucks. And as always, it’s being “sold” to the public as something else for YOUR safety. One premise is stopping cars in a police pursuit. Cost atm is $599.00 😳😮 But like ALL tech, it has enormous risk & potential to be abused & almost certainly will be. It’s coming. Same with cashless society. Digital currency is traceable. 👀 shop.reviver.com/rplate
Didn't Zuckerberg recently admit doing the us government bidding only to turn around in the court and say opps i am sorry i will be a good boy and not block or shut down or pass on any information to ànyone in the governments or a company with vested intrest but thay did ask me to shut down some storys or highlight otheres to boost there popularity .if i didn't do it thay said thay would make my life difficult . Then thay said your be saving the world from and not knowing the truth wont harm them .the same mantas being pushed if you dont agree your far R/ far L but its all for your own good as we want to keep you all safe
Just rip out the wifi card. Problem solved. Well it will be the communications antenna, but you get the idea. You remove that and the car ain't spying cause it can't. Yeah you'll have to hunt it down. But if you remove this antenna, it won't matter if you have a sim card installed or not. It could be as simple as unplugging the wire that you see going into your windshield. Or cutting it. You'll have to do some checking on your particular model.
excellent objective breakdown. iphone auto-join a**wifi un-deletable and auto-join by default on initial iphone bootstrap and every update u are popped from jump if so desired
NAOMI BROCKWELL .You do not realize just how much your channel means to me. A hundred" thank you 's ",doesn't scratch the surface. As things continue on the road to technology as being a benefit to mankind, it has become the slave master of humanity. When will we all just live in peace with each other and work together to prevent our demise ?
The latest version of Veracrypt for MacOS has a FUSE-T option that is recommended for computers with Apple Silicon. It is much easier to install now and doesn't require that you downgrade your security by allowing Third Party Kernel extensions.
I love your videos. They're so funny. You used "respected" and "government" is the same sentence. LOL. j/k. Great content as always. I'd love to see you do another video like you did about convincing your friends to abandon SMS, but about how to get your friends to start caring about privacy. My friends laugh at me because, "That horse is out of the barn." I'd love to get them to care enough to do the basics.
Tails is great for my Alzheimer’s friends. They don’t notice that it starts fresh every time and nothing is saved. It’s always wow you got me a new computer? Thank you sooo much
Every time I get any new device, new phone, new computer, the first thing I do is go through every control panel and setting and preference it provides, top to bottom. I deliberately disable all background data and activities, all processes, all syncs, all updates, all notifications, all permissions, all those things which constantly communicate online. But even so, there's always a bunch of greyed-out and UI-locked items - sensitive and interesting items - which I am forbidden to disable. The default operating system and softwares don't protect your privacy and don't provide useful privacy controls where it really matters most. Plus they also obstruct you from disabling annoying and frustrating and stupid things the OEM has decided are "important". So my advice is don't waste your time doing any of this stuff until you root the device to gain full control and proper permissions over everything on it.
Lol, when my car was made even phones didn't have sims. Good luck to them trying to track me. Usb ports? Seriously, do cars have usb ports now, wow. I think I will stick to my old crap car.
Give ne a break... oooo... Snowden recommends, 🙄... joking, Snowden is, as said in the day, "u83r l33t" It's small, weak, and NOTHING is secure, you know this... Tor is dangerous to novice users, and this will lead more and more into it for exploration! Any PC or crApple Mac is as safe and secure or unsecure as the user and their education of such! This will not help and though small and compact, it's "cute" like a kitten, however unneeded. You demonstrate installation on a Mac??? around 23% of US users use Mac, whereas just over 60% use Windows... mostly w10... this seems more like a spam pitch for crApple.. just sayin' Interesting, though, thank you for the information!
The Frog in Boiling Water is a myth/urban ledgend that simple Google search will prove not true...yet eternally popular. What yo'd expect from Sheep in a Surveilance State.
