In my time at Royal Holloway, there was a postgraduate student Jason Harding who assaulted and broke the nose of a Jewish woman, and he currently posts Nazi soldier photos on a Pinterest website. Harding was kicked out of his professorship at Durham University for lying about numerous things, including the assault. Harding had to move to Hong Kong to keep teaching. There are wild amounts of antisemitism in the UK, and even insane antisemites like Jason Harding can pass as normal (for a time).
Thanks a lot dr ma'am for sharing this great tour@✨✨✨i 'P.S gadhvi ' student of a english literature✨ " The maharaja Saiyajirao university🎓 of Baroda " Gujarat india 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 once again really tnx for sharing this video....

@sistersocalledIzzy In the Name of Jesus I bind this demonic spirit, you are not a sister or Christian …no Christian speaks In such an unChristlike way … find Jesus and get delivered from the demonic spirit in you!!! Do not come on this page and feel you have any right to harass my daughter or family . Your bound and in serious need of deliverance your devil talking tongue we condemn it. Please learn to spell . Your illiterate mind is on display. Cussing in patois whilst barely spelling in English.
an amazing video thank you!! I start rhul tomorrow and i am very nervous. I have autism so seeing you show the buildings before i even get there has eased a lot of stress!
@beth6205 really great! Make sure you register with their disability team and access their mentoring and study skills support, it makes a huge difference!
Hi! My name is Faith, and I am applying to Royal Holloway in London to purse my Master's degree. If you are willing, I would love to talk to you about your experience at Royal Holloway. Do you have an instagram or LinkedIn where I could reach you? I hope to speak with you soon!
I love these PhD vlogs. I'm starting my master's program in August so it's even more inspiring to see!! Also, I went to the London, Sugar, and Slavery exhibit when I went to London because of your video. I hadn't heard of it before.
I'd say most people come alone. I certainly did and there's a maturity at uni that's so different to school/college, where friendship is super easy, there doesn't seem to be cliques (in my experience). It's super easy to make friends from classes, also just from being apart of societys and clubs, events, housemates, study spaces etc.
hi there thanks for such informative video! imthinking of studying there next year, wanted ask you what are the people like there? as I'll be coming from oversea and worry about making friends as I can be quite shy at first! would greatly appreciate your advice on what life is like there aswell as any tips you have for meeting people - are there lots of societies?
It's a very friendly and homely place, lots of societies (check out the Royal Holloway Student Union site). I had the most amazing time and lots of the people I met and where friends with often said the same (that they love it and have the best memories there)!
When a male student with Woke politics assaulted and broke the nose of a female student with non-Woke politics Robert Hampson and the rest of the English department didn't punish the man and quickly awarded him a First Class Honors degree. Then Robert Hampson even blamed the female student with the broken nose for her assault. Specifically, he blamed HER--THE VICTIM--for emotional immaturity whereas he said NOTHING about the ATTACKER. Royal Dunceaway is an insanely politicized institution with degraded academics and even more degraded morals. Even using the word, "morals," in describing Robert Hampson is being overly generous.
This is awful. Though wondering why youtube accounts are being created only a day ago to share the same message? So not sure if I'm speaking to two (or more people) or the same one person. But again this is dreadful and a failing of the Eng. Department. Though this is just a university tour so maybe better shared on a different/another platform. My advice to students is consider all the news stories about universities everywhere. Unfortunately you'll find a lot of horrific things from students, on campus societies and even departments at various universities in the UK, US and just everywhere. So do your research.
This has just made me sooo happy! One of the things I want to do once I have finished is to make and present historical documentaries, alongside research/teaching and writing. So this comment truly means so much to me...thank you ❤
Thanks so much for making and sharing this video (and starting your channel)! Your PhD focus is so interesting to me and I’m learning a lot from you. ❤️
The conditions are different for each course, I'd recommend having a look on the university website to check if you meet the requirements for the course you wish to study. See my pinned comment
Watching this and thinking about my good years there. Make the most of studying in such a beautiful part of the country. Best years of your life and I hope the ASC club is still putting on amazing SU nights. Miss catching a whine instead of revising :(
Thanks for this bookshelf tour, Renée 🥰 absolutely lovely! The first thing I noticed was the colourific way you have your books displayed!!! And I now have 6 books that I’m going to have to read from your shelves 😅 xxx
You have the most calming, comforting voice and accent I have ever heard - you sound like you could be a Disney princess or the main character in a fantasy novel 🥺 I loved hearing you talk about your favourite books among your shelves; I just had to add a few of them to my TBR!
This comment means sooo much to me! I used to be insecure about my deep and sometimes husky tone. But I've learnt to love it over the years and comments and remarks like this have greatly helped me to love it so thank you for the reminder 💛 Glad you found some of the books interesting, I hope you enjoy them 🙌🏾
