Welcome! I'm Yasmin, a musician who's been playing and sharing music with others for as long as I can remember, along with my sisters Safiyya and Anisa. Through ysamusic, we strive to glorify God and encourage others.
Thanks for being part of the family! We're glad you're here.
Good to see you again Yasmin. Thanks for this arrangement. It isn't the one I know so well but I see it is arranged to an African American Spiritual tune. Which one is that?
Thank you for watching! My currently available arrangements can be found on Sheet Music Plus: www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/explore?q=ysamusic&lang=default. God bless!
Wow Yasmin, what a powerful and refreshing version of this beautiful melody. I have great respect, you play with such virtuosity, it is simply fantastic to praise and glorify God in this way! Best regards from Germany, Roland
Thank you! This hymn is most commonly associated with the Lutheran and Scandinavian traditions and is prominent in various Lutheran hymnals. God bless!
I love your performances and arrangements! I find them so inspiring and uplifting and I think you are an amazingly talented organist and musician, and composer as well as a flawless performer! Thank you for your wonderful videos and performances here on RU-vid! BRAVO!

Wow! Just plain WOW!!! I have loved listening to your fabulous pipe organ selections here on RU-vid (I discovered you only this morning!!) and I have shared, shared, shared links to your work to many of my church and performance musician friends...and we all marvel at your work. While I certainly do not play the organ or piano, I must have a doctorate in LISTENING to God speak through His music. And, for sure, I have felt His presence as I have listened to your songs. My wife is a stellar pianist/organist, but more importantly (and you know the big difference I am going to point out here), she is a fabulous ACCOMPANIST, whether it's playing for a single artist, a choir, or a congregation. I thank God for that. So, please know you have a new fan here in North Mississippi. And, I shall be a "bragmeister" for your wonderful work, too. I pray that God will bless me with getting to meet you in person someday as I attend an event at which you are playing. Again, thank you for the immensely anointed blessings you share with us! ~ Dr. Larry S. Anderson • Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis!)
Thank you so much, Dr. Anderson, for your kind words! I'm so glad you have been blessed by the music and ministry on this channel. Indeed, it's a beautiful experience to learn to connect with and hear God through His gift of music. Your wife sounds like a wonderful and dedicated musician, and I pray God continues to bless her ministry as well!
Yasmin, beautiful playing. Is this your arrangement, and is it published? One suggestion, if this is a congregational arrangement, we need the pedal part in the correct octave for singing.
Thank you, this brought back the very happy memory of my baptism at Duke Street Baptist Church in Richmond, UK in 1973. The preacher that night was Rev. John Bird, and this was the opening hymn. He said "Sometimes we sing old hymns, sometimes we sing new hymns, tonight we are going to sing an old one, but as if it were new in our hearts."
Such a strong, bold, resounding and time honoured Hymn! This is one of my favorite classical gospel songs and you played it in the perfect time! It's not meant to be played fast or slow but right where your playing it.
Unbelievable, this young lady is pure talent & her heart is in her music I can tell by how she's focused & her attention sharp & calm. She clearly knows what shes doing & has been taught well. I pray for her happiness & prosperity because her music is bringing me pure happiness :D
Thank you so very much young musician yasmin. I'll be listening straight until Christmas.just love to hear your sweet music and watch you play! You should have a big concert.advertise and let us know so we can watch you live. The future is in your hands to be a wealthy musician, and turn many to christ.thanks and blessings young yasmin.
Praise the Lord! A PDF copy is not available yet; however, the opening setting by Frank W. Breazeale can be found in the Winter 2003-2004 issue of PedalPoint Magazine. God bless!
