Music by Jack Coleman | Arranged by Ralph Carmichael
Be blessed by this beautiful piece, "Thus Was He Born," from Carmichael's 1968 release of the Christmas cantata "A City of the King," originally written by composer and musician Jack Coleman.
May we be forever grateful for the reasons Jesus came: "...to deliver the captive, to lift up the fallen, to heal those with sickness, to take away sorrow; to bring men forgiveness, release and redemption for God's glory."
Violinist - Anisa Phillip
Pianist - Yasmin Phillip

Thus was He born,
Thus was Christ born,
Lowly and humbly He thus was born;
A star was His sign
And God's love marked the reason He came for mankind,
Came to deliver the captive,
To lift up the fallen,
To heal those with sickness,
To take away sorrow,
To bring men forgiveness,
Release and redemption for God's glory.
