Hi! Hope your summer is starting off well. :) It’s been so long since I used that LE highlighter, but I’m gonna try it under my blush tomorrow instead of on top. I thought I would use it more, but I just didn’t like it lifting my foundation when placed on top. I picked up the KGD loose powder and it’s lovely! I see the tiniest bit of luminescence (a glimmer of shimmer when it first goes on) and I quite enjoy it. It’s not as blurring on my T zone as the Nabla, but I love it on the rest of my face. TYSM for the rec. I notice that you haven’t done any Community posts in a while. I’m planning to buy some BK Beauty brushes soon, but I hope they’ll go on a better sale than the current one. The Community post that Sofia Sees Beauty published today made me think to ask if you’d ever thought of doing something similar?
@@das_ein Thanks! I’ve been enjoying the long summer days, though the heat has taken some adjustment. Hope your summer has been going well! Glad you’ve been enjoying the powder! My favorite aspect of it is that I can’t go overboard with it, which is an issue I have with most other powders. I’ll have to pick up the Nabla sometime! I’ve always been very bad at doing community posts. >_< The most I can motivate myself to do for affiliate links is to include them in my description boxes. I don’t get many hits on them even when I promote them, so I kind of gave up lol
@@areteanbeauty Yes, you’re so right about the powder. I can’t imagine it ever looking cakey or dry. The Nabla could be too much if over applied, so I don’t think you’d love it (you don’t have the pore issues I do! 😆) Ah ok, yeah it does seem like not fun work to get those affiliate links together. There’s so much to compete against too. I’m always amazed at Lexi Jong’s lengthy lists. 🫣 P.s. I also made a comment congratulating your 3K milestone 🥂🌟 but I guess it got filtered. Cheers!
5 of the Clarins shades actually do share that same adjusting technology you spoke about- including the shades apricot strawberry cherry plum and pitaya. So the shade you have does adjust with the skin's ph
Hey! This book hasn’t crossed my radar yet, so I’ll have to return to your video after I read it. Your enthusiasm for it in the intro makes me want to check it out ASAP and I do prefer to start books with zero knowledge. 🤓 Thanks for bringing it up. Chatty GRWM videos are still my favorite across all channels!
Hi friend, I still only own one KGD product (the Aqua foundation, one of my top 3) but you’ve convinced me to try the loose powder. I use loose powder daily on my t zone. My favorite currently is from Nabla because it’s so blurring on my pores. Thanks for rounding everything up in one video! 🙏🏽🤗
I would love to see a video comparing the Suqqu melting blush colours. I have 4 already and now your video makes me wonder if I should pick up some more 😅 because I also love the formula. I got Lisa Eldridge matte lipticks when she first launched her makeup line. Didn't love all the colours and the formula was too drying for me so I haven’t got into her line anymore.
Just saw that the blushes are sadly sold out now at Selfridges! :( Thanks for sharing! I also haven’t been a fan of her matte lipsticks (though in general I don’t like most matte formulas), but I’ve liked some of her other products.
Since filming this video, I actually found a use case I really like for the KGD cream concealer. I finally used up my long-time favorite everyday no-makeup-makeup concealer and replaced it with this one. It’s perfect on days when you aren’t wearing foundation and just want to add some light-medium coverage on problem areas.
I get the yearly Global shipping from Selfridges just to buy Suqqu. I adore the quads and the Moisture Glaze lipstick is my very favorite lip balm/gloss currently made. The shipping takes 3 days for me which is so much quicker than most places that are in the US, much less overseas! Plus I’ve never ever had anything arrive broken (knock on wood!!) The blushes look so beautiful on you. I have 2. It’s so sad they are discontinued! I hope they come back some day!
Thanks, I’m excited to have the subscription now! I was impressed by how quick the shipping was. Once I have $100 in my cart, I’m looking forward to trying the new Lisa Eldridge lipsticks!
I love the 07 reddish berry shade in the Suqqu Melting blush but somehow it's not been easy to work with. It gets a little patchy and is not as effortless as I had expected. I need to blend a lot for it to not look patchy. But this video reminded me how beautiful the shade is and maybe I just need to explore a bit more to find out how it'll work best for me
For context, I filmed this video a while ago but it took me some time to edit and upload it. I have since picked up the newer MUF palette and have a video review of that one as well, so check it out jf you’re interested in a comparison! :)
i actually wavering between clarins and dior, can someone review real quick or even rate so that i can form my final decision. i did use the dior one, it was thick and long lasting (at least 2-3hrs without re-applying) but i didnt feel any hydration at all or just a little, so is the clarins one good at hydrating the lips even thought it's thinner and a bit more lightweight???( i've never used any clarins products before)
Personally I find them to be similar in terms of hydration upon initial application. The Dior is definitely thicker, stickier, and longer lasting though. For more nourishing hydration, I also like the Chantecaille lip chic formula.
@@phucnguyendoan6941 I think it depends how you feel about stickiness and thicker formulas. I like the Dior a bit more, but a lot of people prefer the thinner, lighter texture of the Clarins.
Thank you for comparing both formulas. I have never had luck with lip chics, I think I’m allergic to the fragrance in them, my lips swell up every single time. However, lip veils have been for fav for years, Baobab has been my go to color. I’m happy to see that color on you too. Looks very pretty.
Thank you the review and comparisons. That was quite helpful. I’m intrigued by the formula of Hermes but I want to Use my current bronzers like PMG nude honey and VB #3 that i love and may be someday pick up Hermes. I also tried RMS tan lines recently and fell in love with the formula and undertone.
For me personally I love the clarins lip oil much more , I have 2 shades from it and I will have some more shades , they are absolutely gorgeous and amazing.
How I wish MUFE could come up with a palette where the shades can be changed (i.e. make the individual shade pans magnetically removable to be easily replaced for mixing and matching). Some of these shades are too deep for my skin which is unfortunate because that definitely means that there are one or two shades that I won't be using at all - which is what's holding me back from buying it :(
@@areteanbeauty and even though you had complications, it's a beautiful look! 10/10 would like to see ya replicate other looks that inspired you, Gala or otherwise
I just picked this up yesterday and I can agree with you the undertones aren’t really suited for golden to yellow undertones. It’s very neutral. Although the pallet is beautiful, I might just return it because of the undertones.
Oh my goodness I loooooove the second look you did! I also, as others have said, scrape my finger on the pan with chunkier shades. I find them irritating on my eyes if I don’t and even then it’s 50/50 with shimmers 🥲
Thanks for the video. It really helps. If you had to choose only one from among 15,16 & 27, which one do you think would work best for hooded eyes? Would any from the mini or max ranges be better than these three?
Glad it was helpful! Recently, I’ve actually been using the Mini eye brushes mostly since I like the greater precision. I have a separate video showcasing those if you’re interested. I use the 15 for transition shades in the crease, 14 to deepen the outer corner, 13 for lower lash line transition, and 2 for shimmers and setting eyeliner.
Such pretty makeup and outfit here! Your hair looks so nice as the main element of contrast in the look. I’d love to try the Bakeup pastel palette buuuut I dunno if my general clothing colors lend well to pairing with pastels. I’ve painted myself into something of a muted jewel-toned corner.
Thanks so much for your kind comment! :) Pastels are always kind of tricky-I feel like they often don’t look that good on me, but I still like wearing them for the spring vibes. Muted jewel tones are so lovely! Recently I’ve been enjoying playing around with my PMG Decadence palette, which has a lot of those shades.
Aw, you made a video just for me! 🥹 j/k but I *am* about to place an order for the LE skin tint and 1-2 of these shadows, so this was extremely informative. I've chosen Angelica for an easy work-appropriate look and I think your combo with the ND mattes and brown liner was spectacular! Hopefully I can recreate it. In other makeup news, I blind bought the Dior Forever Glow Star Filter and Glow Maximizer (in Peachy) because Alicia Archer was so smitten with them and I was feeling shoppy. But I had yard work to do today (until it rained!) so I haven't had a chance to wear them. Too many new enticing releases, not enough time. :) Hope you had a great weekend!
P.S. I used your link to look for the EM Cosmetics liquid liner, but FYI it's landing on a 404 Page Not Found error. Not sure if you can adjust it to not lose your affiliate credit!
@@das_ein Glad this vid was helpful! Haha, I filmed it several weeks ago, but did bump it up in the queue after your question! Nice, curious to get your thoughts on it! I’ve seen so many positive reviews, but I don’t normally use liquid highlight products (still working on integrating the LE one into my routine). Oh no! Thanks for letting me know! I’ll have to update that link.
These look so nice! I also like your lighting setup when it was up close, because I got a good sense of the colors. I’m interested in some of her light Lurexes.
Thanks! They are overall soft, though not as soft as some of my other fude brushes (from Sonia G. or Japanese brands). That said, the stiffness makes them more precise and better at buffing, so I’ve ended up using those brushes more than my other ones even though they aren’t as soft.
