I would soooo love to see FFG make a shift to the investigator cards coming in an actual deck box, like a Gamegenic Boulder etc type, sturdy plastic, that was Arkham themed, and would gladly pay a little bit more to have a workable deck box every campaign cycle. Totally agree with Zach on this.
Awesome scenario! Finally got round to watching this playthrough. Glad to see Arkham cranking up the difficulty in this campaign. Innsmouth seems like some cool scenarios. Really love to see a return to the famed mid carcosa for scenario. Well, the fishy Oceirus Marsh took his nihilistic family member to his watery grave. R.I.P. Ursula is still one of my favs.
This was my favorite game as a kid. I was so sad when AEG stopped publishing. Now that I'm an adult with adult money I'm ready to spend so much money on this if and when it's released.
In Go/Baduk, the concept of tempo is slightly different than in chess and other games. And it's interesting because we have a name to both having tempo and not having it: Sente/gote. You're in sente when you are deciding what to play and where, while you're in gote if you are just responding to your opponent. Controlling sente and gote is very important, and it's impossible to be in sente all the game. Also, a good way to play in a teaching manner to someone who knows less is "giving" sente back to them. I like this way of thinking about tempo because for me tempo has always been that, who's got the initiative and who's responding. Specially in competitive pokemon videogame, it's like that. Seizing the tempo (or sente) back is so important. It's also important what you do with sente. At some point your opponent does something you dont need to respond to, so now you want to seize sente, what do you do with sente? Where do you play? How do you maintain sente? If you make a play that your opponent doesnt need to respond to (you are giving sente back) it's a bas play. I'm new to FaB and I dont know much, but to me, what you're describing sounds a lot like that. And since learing the terms sente and gote I try to think in those terms in other games.
Yugioh very rarely locks mechanically unique cards behind events, and it's been a LONG time since they've done so. Bandai (Dragon Ball Masters/Fusion world, Digimon, One Piece) is NOTORIOUS for important promo cards being locked to events. Great reveals otherwise! While I don't play this is still a great looking game!
Started by watching some of your Netrunner videos and stumbled across the SWCCG playlist. The card discussion and gameplay have been awesome. I love the recurring commentary about how wildly insane the rules are, but for some reason the game just works

I'd swear I remembered Zach saying the promo was an exceptional ("order 3 boxes") way back when during the original announcement 🤔 From the reveal it sounds like it got switched to this Unique promo because of the relevance. If that's the case then what might have happened to that other promo...? Or maybe I'm out of my mind and misremembering 😂
