I just wanted everyone to know, who drives only 35mph, you'll hardly notice anything. Strut bars, stabilizer bars, etc., will only be notices at high-speed turning and driving. If you are considering only one mod, go lowering springs, coil overs, or I highly recommend Eibach Pro spring kits -- they lower your car about 1.3", are engineered specifically to work with your OEM struts and shocks, and will give you the biggest bump for your dollar, control-wise. Enjoy.
Do you need a tune if going with Recirc? Stock setup is already Recirc so in theory there is not difference but wanted to double check before I install. Also, what would be the benefit or added gain of going with Recirc and not VTA?
The hose that you recirculate into, is that the same hose that comes from the PCV and feeds back into the turbo inlet? I installed this on my 2020 WRX, second guessed it because the instructions that came with it were horrible, ran it for a day and went back to stock because I was afraid I recirculated into the wrong hose. I really want to put the HKS back on but want to know if I’m doing it right.
Hey I know this is a year ago and I have a 2021 wrx and had the gs turbo inlet same pattern with the stock inlet and I’m wondering how can I do the recirculating too
It’s strongly suggested that you get a tune for it if you are planning on running it full VTA. You should be okay with recirculating but it’s still recommended.
You could. Would recommend a retune afterwards if you’re going to to VTA. You’re gonna hear the blow off a lot more going VTA. I went with a SD tune after.
Yeah…have a few that I haven’t had the time to edit. Been busy with work and trying to figure out different ways to shoot. There will be more coming though.
Make sure you have all of the vacuum lines in the right places and all of your connections are tight. Had a similar problem because the turbo inlet wasn’t seated all the way.
@@tonyreyes3927 gotcha! If you keep it on recirculating then you should be fine. I went VTA but was already tuned for VTA. I’d still get a tune either way.
Did you do a speed density tune on your wrx? I am running the same set up with the HKS BOV kit, minus the Tomei headers, but mine doesn’t sound the same.
Thanks! To be honest with most things it just needs to be tight. When it comes to major things like clutch disks and head studs, a torque wrench is a must. When it comes to simple maintenance things, I don’t feel a need. I feel it’s too often that people overuse torque wrenches. And believe me, the dealer isn’t using one on everything they do. Lol
Just got mine today, I’m hoping I’m not as loud as you tho. Sounds great but I live in Cali 💀. Ima have it paired with my catted dp and a tomei as well
Sounds clean af bro. Can you feel the power loss? I’m e60 rn just saving for a fmic then slapping both of them on and tune at once and I was curious if it’s super noticeable.
It’s my daily so I’ve been driving it since the install. I drive it everywhere and don’t just baby it...drive it like it’s meant to be driven. So far no issues. I love the headers.
