Bro my room is like 2.5 m x 5m in dimensions i got a jbl 710 partybox and it rattles room across mine at 30 % and i thought it would be fun to have one of these what you all think
@@MartinJusic-i2d it’s fun to have but you’d get boomy sound, also the sub isn’t what it seems to be,considering the price and all But if you’re curious and wanna scratch that itch, why not
I have the same woofer icm with the jbl monoblock a3001. First in a bmw e90. It was amazing, now after 3 years I installed it in my mercedes w213. Boy it sounds really really good! Good quality and price. a underrated subwoofer!
@@Jeff-c9d Yeah brother Love and cherish the ones around you Spend time with the loved ones! Make memories to look back on and smile with melancholy and maybe even shed a tear 😇
@@TheEddielomax I have a Crown XLS 802, to mess with speakers, i don't use it for music or movies. The fan is super loud (typical PA amp), yours seem to not have fans in them at all.
@@Quetzalcoatl0 Oh I get what you’re saying They do have fans in them, and when you run the amps bridged they run all the time but they are not loud. You can hear them if you’re up close or if the amp gets close to overheating, then they sound pretty much like a GPU Btw,you could replace the fan with one from Noctua or such, more airflow less noise I hope this helps 😏
@@Quetzalcoatl0Also I think you have the Xli version which is class AB,better sound in the mids and highs, but runs hotter,a lot hotter The ones I’ve got are some hybrid class D(XLS),they work perfectly for subwoofers since they’re nowhere near the high frequencies where one gets into issues with the cheap filtration on the Switching Power Supply
It was built to be ~90 liters but I displaced about 30 liters and now they’re ~60 liters internal air volume, works better in this room, less rumble and resonance
The stands are from a speaker company called Triangle. They’re pretty much horrible, hollow and cheap but I filled them up with silicone, the one you use to seal stuff, now they’re dead silent.Tgey don’t really fit the speaker at the stand plate, the Revels have a special shape and these have rectangular plate .Im thinking about buying the Revels ones someday
I have the Revel m16 speakers...are you able to recommend the best cd player that would get the best from them?...I currently have the Yamaha cd-s303 player but I would be willing to pay more for the best fit with my speakers.Thanks.
I really have no experience with CD players I usually stream my music from Qobuz or Apple Music I work a lot and I like the convenience AirPlay or trough USB to the MiniDSP SHD The M16 are amazing speakers!I couldn’t believe when I heard them first time(got them used )They are so forgiving to the reflection in the room and sound so beefy even pushed to the maximum.A good dac though,Hegel HD20 Enjoy 😊
My sound system consists of 6 SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers (2 for the mains, 2 for the side channels, and 2 for the rears), an SVS Ultra Center speaker, 4 SVS Prime Elevation speakers ceiling mounted for Dolby Atmos and 2 SVS SB-3000 Subwoofers. The system is powered by a Yamaha Aventage RX-A8A 11 channel AVR with an AC Infinity AIRCOM T9 keeping it cool, and all are connected to a Panamax M5400-PM Power Conditioner.
Yeah, but, that means you're using low watts,in that case they need to be CLEAN watts.Imo if you usually love to enjoy quiet calm listening and still make out all the details, maybe look into class A amplifiers, with very low THD.Never heard tube amps but folk use them for low level listening quite often.Just don't buy based on looks or marketing,A good source for audio gear measurements is Audio Science Review.Cheers
Yes,i am satisfied withthe subwoofers, the have texture in bass that i haven't heard in other subwoofer i've owen so far. for someone who likes to tune them up to their preferences i always recommend diy subs, you're not locked with a specific crossover or power amp These drivers are essentially the same as in the SVS ones, they only made them with larger cones so ppl would't copy their designs for cheaper The cabinets in the PB16 rings hollow as hell,i opened it up and it's just cheap mdf with hotglue,a piece of foam and vinyl on,look at the price, here in Sweden they're like 3000 dollars... These sound articulate and scary at loud volumes. The only thing that migh be a downside to say so is that they are very low sensitivity and being sealed, need alot of power to run loud Expect for your lights in the room to dim when listening to music with low notesat very high volumes. If you want sensitivity and low extension you could also go with 18 or 21 inch PA (paper cone) drivers in some beautiful cabinets according to your taste(thick plywood ofc)
These are SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers on stands. The SVS Prime have a woofer surround that is flat on the sides. The Ultras have the fully round surround like we see here.
Imagine if u played something that didnt sound like 2 men kissing in a park..... Like i dunno 30 seconds of a drum and bass track or soemthing. Let the speakers perform ffs bro your killing me here
