My sound system consists of 6 SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers (2 for the mains, 2 for the side channels, and 2 for the rears), an SVS Ultra Center speaker, 4 SVS Prime Elevation speakers ceiling mounted for Dolby Atmos and 2 SVS SB-3000 Subwoofers. The system is powered by a Yamaha Aventage RX-A8A 11 channel AVR with an AC Infinity AIRCOM T9 keeping it cool, and all are connected to a Panamax M5400-PM Power Conditioner.
LOL!!!! I don't know how the SVS engineering team did it, but these small loudspeakers sound HUGE!!!!!!!!! As a bassist and House of Worship sound tech, I'm blown away!!!
They sound so perfect that I don't even know how loud they really are in real life. It's not like I can go by distortion or resonance like with most audio systems.
So,here they are at “home party “ level But keep in mind that the ports were plugged in this video, cuz my current subwoofers were being built so I was setting them to see how well they sounds in a whole sealed system configuration The ports give a lot of warmth and girth to the sound, also goes a tad louder for the same power obviously I hooked them up at some point to the Crown amps that drive my subwoofers and they sound even thicker Can’t go too wrong with these
It's a set of Triangle stands that i got for free when i purchased the speakers from the shop. They resonate a lot,so i filled them with silicone all the way,now they're dead silent. Some use sand but i think it's too messy Ty for the kind words :) Take care
Well I’m currently shopping for a pair of the ultras thanks to your video, so thanks. I was considering Polk TSI 300’s but like the look of bookshelf speakers instead. Any thoughts on sound comparisons between the two?
Hi, My question is if you can tell of course roughly how much power you put in to get this level of spl ? I see the SVS are power rated up to 150w and I wonder if It can fill a room of about 250 - 300sqft and be loud enough for a home party. I’m looking to get around 90-94 db of spl if I got more even better Thanks in advance
Yes it would be plenty loud in my opinion The room I have them playing in is about 300 ft.² and they get pretty loud also they tolerate a lot of power without any issues And also in this video they have the ports plugged because I don’t need the extra bass extension because I had subwoofers on the way
Imagine if u played something that didnt sound like 2 men kissing in a park..... Like i dunno 30 seconds of a drum and bass track or soemthing. Let the speakers perform ffs bro your killing me here
