He didn't even watch this live, what are we doing here Ringer? Any true diehard sixers fan would not miss that game for a GOT episode. Shouldn't be surprised as this is the same guy who reviewed BvS for the ringer but didn't watch the film.
forget the potential missed championships that kawhi could’ve won in toronto, the biggest blunder is new balance. if kawhi stayed in toronto, NB would be the second place brand behind nike. every canadian was yearning for kawhi merch after the championship run, and they didnt release anything in a timely manner. kawhi could be rotting on the toronto bench and you would’ve still seen thousands of people wearing his signature shoes around the city. and we wouldnt even be mad.
Someone on twitter pointed out and I can't unsee it now, Embiid pushes Simmons off the ball, Embiid was glory chasing not being a team player, yes the shot was a freak shot but if he had cut to the corner to defend or let Simmons be the defender might have been a different oucome.
Yes philedelphia fans like their favorite teams. They're "true" fans. But what philly fans love more than anything, what they are truly obsessed with, is themselves.
Poor CR must deal with more of Bill’s trolling. Of course he gets the assignment of the Silver Linings Playbook Rewatchables and now an all-time devastating loss for the Sixers.
Absolutely unforgettable game and Bill nailed the atmosphere in the arena that night. As a lifelong Miami Heat season ticket holder, that game is hands down the best I've ever witnessed. Sitting just 25 rows up from where Ray Allen hit that miracle shot, the tension was palpable. When Kawhi Leonard was at the line for those free throws, my dad was ready to call it quits and head out. But I insisted, 'No way we're leaving now.' It felt like a nightmare unfolding before us-our championship hopes hanging by a thread. That shot, though? Pure magic. It's not just a great moment in NBA history; it's THE greatest shot ever made, and I'm forever grateful to have been a part of that electrifying night.
I think their takes is off the wall sometimes. Denzel doesn't hate gays in "Philadelphia", he's like many then totally uneducated about aids and think it can infect him with a handshake even.
The Wire also has some amazing depth moments though- For example, after Stringer Bell is killed, there is a scene where Bunk and McNulty enter Stringer's apartment and McNulty examines his desk, finding among other things a copy of Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith. McNulty looks over to Bunk and says "Who in fuck was I chasing?" It's not simply that he thought Stringer was this one person but turned out to have been different. It's almost like looking at his apartment, Stringer vanishes as a human being. It's like he never really existed and was more of a ghost they were chasing.
Seems like KD isnt happy unless you hand it to him on a golden platter.... Wait, KD wasn't happy in Golden State when it was on a golden platter. KD is the greatest unhappy malcontent.
One point to clarify, Bill and CR confuse the two clubs for one. Max sits down with Felix at a club called El Rodeo. “To protect your Hermes façonnable ass.” Vincent kills Peter Lim and Fanning at Fever. In between is the Audioslave coyote sequence.
I was visiting family down in Miami and we were watching in my uncle’s garage where he had a projector and a massive screen. When Ray Allen hit that shot I jumped up so high I almost knocked the projector off the holder it was hanging from. My uncle had to fix it real quick so we didn’t miss the last five seconds. But we were all celebrating. It was pure pandemonium in the room. Great memory. Basketball kind of died after that in a way. The league became all about three’s, woke politics, and super teams. Maybe it’ll come back around, but idk. And LeBron started acting like he was the greatest thing since sliced bread and calling himself the goat. That still belongs to MJ, but those LeBron-Heat teams were super fun to watch. I’ll remember those days fondly. I am from Denver so I’m happy with the Nuggets right now ofc 😄
