Our photos and/or videos have been featured in the NY State fire calendar, NY State fire course literature, on Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, NFPA, Firehouse Magazine and countless other tv stations across the U.S. and abroad. My interest in firefighting began in high school when I formed the "fire squad". I recruited members from different class levels & we were taught operation EDITH before it became known as that. We were also taught standard & advanced first aid, CPR and we were present at all school functions. I was part of the group of volunteer firefighters to start the safety officers program in our town - which consists of 5 volunteer fire departments. I've held positions as safety officer, 1st LT, Capt, 3rd Ass't Chief & 1st Ass't Chief.
I'm thinking it was a structure fire pre-plan for those departments. Although it was a bit of smoke, there didn't appear to be much damage. The result could've been worse if there was no quick response from all involved.
I hope that everyone is OK and that the homeowner was able to reoccupy! Did the FF trip at 1:30 right after the edit? 🤔 I put together and edit out all sorts of things from my department's yearly video. 😆
Lol - I was trying to figure out at what point you were mentioning, then I realized the FF was stepping over the LDH as it was being pulled. No - he didn't trip!
I think the quick response from all of the departments kept the damage to a minimum. I haven't heard what caused the fire, but the covers were removed from the electric service and a rep was called to remove the meters.
workers previously repaired a leak in the rooftop A/C unit and firefighters wanted to make sure the smell employees were experiencing was or wasn't the unit. Thanks for your question!

We were there today paddled right by all of it my freind got some really good close up footage. The whole side of the embankment is on fire. There's a pump they are running from the pond up to the crews... we heard trees falling and fire popping and crackling. Craziness hope they are able to contain it.
I jockeyed around the pond trying to find access for better video, but ended up settling somewhat across from the scene as you saw. The one thing I didn't have was water access lol. Thanks for watching!
This was the biggest cluster f... I've ever seen 4 tanker trucks 2 ambulances over 6 for trucks from as far away as bay ridge and they all stood around doing nothing they opened the fire hydrant hydrant on the land where I live and guess what the COUPLING didnt fit wtf they are all the same 3 sizes on all hydrants in the area seriously the COUPLING doesnt fit they were all a waist of time and being right next door I'm glad the wind was blowing away from my animals and there really needs to be a weight limit on fire,police,and rescue people when you weigh close to 300 lbs what help are you going to be
I would suggest to anyone who has an opinion about how this fire should have been fought that they join their local department. They can use your help.
it happened yesterday afternoon. I guess since the young driver stated there were no injuries and he was out of the car, Warren County just dispatched law enforcement as a property damage accident.
Guys you may want to hit that from farther back. I’ve seen a few explosions with vehicle fires. No sense being that close a first unless there are people trapped.
My dad was a member of UFC2 and I joined for a short time until I got an offer for what I thought was gonna be my career job in Binghamton NY , realized I was not comfortable with the railroads training period and resigned so I’m back in the area
I was with a RFD and we led with the 2500 gal tanker if we knew we had fire, always. It wasn't fully equipped as an engine but we took care of business. SOP then.
Hmmm. House obviously under some kind of construction. 20 minutes before Fire Department is called (to ensure the spread of the fire?).... me thinks someone ran out of project money.
Brian, your ignorance is showing. It was not under construction, merely somewhat run down, and the fellow who was burned out was down on his luck. Now that much worse off.
I lived in a volunteer first due in Washington, not that you'd know. Why? They trained. And they called up the tenders and type 3s if water supply was an issue. There IS NO EXCUSE for this level of bumbletude
A word of advice for those who don't live in a area that has hydrants. Install a sprinkler system in your house. It saves on your homeowners insurance. I personally have sprinklers in my house and they're set up in zones. I also have a deep well with a 8 inch multiport head for the fire department to hook up too. It looks really good on your homeowners insurance and if there's a fire nearby they can hook up for a water source.
From the looks of things Corinth Ny needs to invest in a couple of tankers instead of buying suburbans for the cheif and ect. And buy some chain saws and k12s for entry purposes
The guys on the D side of the shed did a great job. Not sure why that was the only line operating but if they only had one line to work with then it was used very effectively.
