Hallo ich weiss nicht mehr weiter. Meine Bilder sehen nass super aus. Sobald Sie getrocknet sind, ist die ganze Leinwand voller Farbklümpchen , was mache ich falsch? Könnten Sie mir helfen? Vielen Dank.
@@DominikHeckl hey Dominik, meine erste Vermutung ist das mischen der Farbe selbst. Je nachdem wie deine Mischung ist…am sichersten ist es immer, wenn alle Komponenten ungefähr die gleiche Konsistenz haben. Also deine Farbe und dein pouring Medium zuerst mischen und dann Wasser rein. Sollte deine Farbe eher dick sein und dein Medium eher dünn, dann solltest du anfangs nur ganz wenig Medium in die Farbe machen und verrühren und dann schrittweise mehr. Also dass anfangs die Reibung der Komponenten halt untereinander höher ist und sich alles gut vermischt. Es dauert länger dadurch aber lohnt sich am Ende. Alternativ oder on top kannst du die fertig gemischte Farbe auch nochmal durch ein Sieb laufen lassen. Ich selbst mische mir immer mehr Farbe und lagere sie in den 1l Joghurt Bechern mit Deckel oder so. Das hält sich ewig und man muss nicht ständig mischen und sich sorgen um Klümpchen machen. Hoffe das hilft dir weiter :)

Na, dass hilft doch endlich mal weiter! Von mir ein Tipp um die Leinwände straffer zu bekommen vielleicht eine kleine Holzscheibe (gibt's so ovale, sehr dünn) in Ecken schieben. Geht vor allem bei großen Formaten ganz gut. LG und Danke für das Video ❤
Endlich habe ich Dich wieder! Ich habe vor Monaten auf Deinem Kanal gestöbert und war absolut begeistert! Du erklärst alles ganz toll. Nach ein paar Tagen wollte ich wieder einige Inspitrationen holen und hab diesen Kanal nicht mehr gefunden und mich so geärgert, das ich aus Versehen kein Abbo da gelassen habe! Schönes Video. Habe eine Frage zu dem Owatrol Floetrol. Es gibt es mit einem weißen bzw. mit einem grünen Deckel. Wo sind die Unterschiede und warum nutzten sie es mit grünen Verschluss. Das Fletrol mit grünen Deckel ist wesentlich teurer.
Thank you for this - I know it’s old but very helpful I must admit though I do actually like the way the resin made the pastel looked textured a bit…see for me I would say it looks good haha but I understand it’s not really the way it should look.
Good tips, especially for oils! I will say- in my experience, if you’re using acrylics, you’re best off going one of two directions. 1. Ideally, use an actual glazing medium. They were a game-changer for me, & give beautiful results, without any of the risk of damaging the binders & resulting in adhesion/permanency problems like you can get from diluting acrylics excessively with water. From the ease of use & smoothness of application, to the quality of the finish, glazing medium (I’m used to Golden’s) seems to really be better for this purpose than any other matte or gloss medium I’ve tried, though they can work in a pinch & are probably still better than water in most cases; don’t get me wrong. I use water to just SLIGHTLY thin the consistency of acrylics all the time. But if you use enough to try to thin heavy-bodied paints, especially, to a good glaze consistency, IME it seems like that’s a risky amount of water to add to them (if you must attempt this, I’d thoroughly mix a few drops of water in at a time to slowly dilute to the desired consistency, & mostly stick with very transparent pigments, as I really ideally ought to for glazes regardless- but especially in this case; if you add a bunch of water all at once you get weird issues with the binder breaking into clumps & it’s way too easy to add too much at once). 2. This gets to my other point. If you DO use water instead of a more suitable medium for glazes, I recommend using it with fluid or high flow acrylics instead of heavy-bodied, if at all possible. You’ll have a much easier time that way & achieve better results. Because fluid & high-flow acrylics have a heavy pigment load concentrated into much less binder, & the binder is already more of a fluid consistency from the jump, it seems like you can get away with using considerably less water, & rather than risking breaking up unevenly, it simply dilutes smoothly. So with a relatively small amount of water & a transparent pigment, you can dilute them to a good glaze consistency & transparency without encountering as many problems. Heavy-bodied acrylics are just not designed to tolerate the amount of water that you’d need to get a thin, fluid, glaze consistency suited for a smooth, even, very thin application. IMO fluid acrylics + glazing medium (which you can also get away with using less of if you’re using it to dilute fluid/high-flow acrylics rather than having to completely change the consistency of heavy-bodied paint) is probably pretty ideal. Using that kind of blend with a nice, soft brush (I like an oval mop, or a soft flat, or something like that) makes for an extremely smooth, even, thin glaze that still is nice & juicy & strongly pigmented while being plenty transparent as long as it’s at least a somewhat/semi-transparent pigment. Plus, heavy bodied paints are way more expensive, so in addition to not being particularly well-suited for glazes, it’s kind of a waste of paints that are designed to be applied as thickly as you want, if you’re thinning them down to a fluid anyway. Of course if you can’t afford to be buying both heavy bodied AND fluid paints, go with whatever suits your general purposes (you CAN thin heavy bodied paints down with glazing medium much better than with water, & you can technically also buy heavy gels, molding pastes, etc., & simply color them with the pigment load from fluid acrylics- it’s a versatile medium & you can pretty much add any source of pigment to any medium/gel/paste)… But I would definitely warn against adding too much water to heavy-bodied paints, & recommend splurging for some good glazing medium if you can afford to, regardless of which acrylic paint type you go for. For anyone not aware, the difference between fluid & high-flow acrylics as basically just consistency. They’re both a high pigment load concentrated in a smaller amount of very fluid binder. It’s just that fluid acrylics still have a bit of acrylic thickness to them (think of the consistency of drinkable yogurt- but don’t drink them). Whereas high-flow is the thinnest acrylic paint base you can go with. It’s basically the same consistency as ink or milk or something… Pretty similar to acrylic ink, except it’s still considered a paint, whereas acrylic ink is literally an ink, though I’m not sure what the exact difference is. From what I just read, acrylic inks are “water resistant, but not permanent” whereas high-flow acrylics are “permanent when dry & can withstand gentle hand-washing.” High-flow acrylics also, apparently, contain a retarder that prevents them from drying INSTANTLY at that thin viscosity (which I suppose makes them more usable as a paint, whereas acrylic inks should only be dipped into with a pen or what have you because they dry even more rapidly)- but then, IME they’re still acrylic paints & definitely do dry quickly despite the retarder.

Danke für das tolle verständliche Video. Gibt es zwar schon ne Weile aber von mir gerade entdeckt. Hab gleich mal abonniert und ein bisschen bei dir rumgestöbert. Toll. Habe mir schon viele Beiträge zum Thema angesehen und dabei ist eine Frage aufgekommen. Viele benutzen Pouring Fluid, du nicht. Ist es überhaupt notwendig? Jetzt kann es losgehen... Gruß aus Berlin
Vielen Dank :)) nun ja also nur die Farbe mit Wasser verdünnen geht in den meisten Fällen nicht gut, weil die Farbe dadurch instabil wird und dir beim trocknen reißen oder ausflocken kann. Das pouring Medium dient dazu, dass mehr Binder in deine Mischung kommen und somit alles stabiler wird. Ich selbst habe am liebsten den acrylbinder von guardi. Den gibt es bei Boesner. Aber auch wenn du das als Hobby machst, tut es auch pvp Leim. Der von Artist Junior von gerstaecker ist ziemlich günstig und tut seinen Zweck. Natürlich hat jedes Medium andere Eigenschaften und Effekte was man bekommen oder nicht bekommen kann aber das ist ja immer so :) Also ein Medium würde ich nehmen, wenn du das aber nur ab und zu mal zum Spaß machst, reicht völlig der Vinylleim aus :) der guardi Binder ist besser, kostet aber auch 10 mal so viel… :)
Hello there I’m really glad I type this in and found your site. I was just about to pour some resin on spray paint and pan pastel and I’m really glad to watch what you’ve done. I’m so glad I didn’t ruin my picture but I will tell you, my original concept was to do. Encaustic which is hot wax and probably some oil sticks and put many layers of wax so then I can incise some of the lines and then use the oil sticks if you know what I mean, but thanks for that video you really saves me a whole lot of work I would’ve been really upset.

Kommt auf die Konsistenz und Menge an Farbe an, die auf der Leinwand bleibt. Im Schnitt bei mir irgendwas zwischen 1 und 3 Tagen. Auch wie warm es ist hat Einfluss… :)

Not really hours but depending on the amount (thickness) of your paint layer and liquin/paint Ratio I would say the next day when u work in thin layers
Well you should be sure your layer(s) are completely dry before glazing over it. I did that too and had no issues so far but cannot tell if time will change it on the long run. At this point 5 years later all looks good. But Need to say i always work in thin layers and no huge amounts of paint…
Eigentlich nicht viel. Zunächst sollte es natürlich ganz trocken sein aber danach kannst du ein Firnis drüber pinseln oder einen Sprühlack nehmen, das sollte alles gehen :)

Dein Video ist wie alle anderen sehr informativ und interessant! Mich interessiert noch wie lichtecht die Prismacolor Stifte eigentlich sind. Verkaufst Du Deine Bilder, die Du mit diesen Stiften gezeichnet hast? Bei Polychromos und Luminancestiften ist es ja bekannt, das sie nicht verblassen. Viele Grüße Claudia : )
Hallo Claudia, die Prismas sind ziemlich lichtecht. Manche Farben mehr als andere aber das ist an sich überall so. Rottöne sind wohl immer schwierig stabil zu halten. Verkaufen direkt nicht, außer es ist ein Auftrag. Dann ist es natürlich ein Bild für eine bestimmte Person. Ab und zu stoße ich aber an meine Grenzen vom Können mit stiften, da schummle ich gern mit Ölfarben ^^ das ergänzt sich ziemlich gut.
Ich bin begeistert von diesem Video, da ich Anfängerin in der Ölmalerei bin. Wunderbare Erklärungen, der Vorbereitung eines Gemäldes. So hatte ich mir meinen derzeitigen Malkurs für Anfänger (und Fortgeschrittene) vorgestellt. Man erhält zwar sehr gute Tipps bei Nachfrage, ist aber nicht wirklich Schritt für Schritt ans Malen mit Ölfarbe eingeführt worden wie in diesem Video. Super! Ich werde Deine Videos weiterhin verfolgen. Danke für diesen visuellen Kurs.
