Hey resin friends :)
Feeling isolated recently? Only the moon could be more lonely? Well...besides from quarantine I love the space topic paintings, drawings and artworks so I felt inspired painting a moon and giving it a glittery shiny resin cover afterwards. LOVE the result. What do you think?? :)

Love this. My family laugh when I say life is better with some glitter. There's not many of my works where glitter or metallic paint doesn't creep in. Stay safe and thanks for sharing this

life is always better with glitter ^^ I only use it with the resin projects and not for the realism paintings but still...resin needs glitter ^^

When you came over the top of the canvas in your clip I thought it was a wave moving over the ocean, probably the camera angle. Either way I love it.

Beautiful, Michael! I've been missing my brushes, too lol so far this year I have done zero pours and about 7 landscapes! The moon is a nice escape place🌛

Love it😀. I can't see the sparkle but I know it's there. Adding glitter to paint works too. I have done this myself on several of my moon gazing rabbit paintings and it gives the black sky a subtle glitter. I also use a textured sponge on large moons too. I like the effects you've created on your moon. Too me it looks 3 d , but I don't know if that was your intention. I hope you and Patrick are staying safe and well. Do you have the same restrictions in place as the uk ?

sorry for my late reply, must have missed it. I assume we have kind of the same restrictions here. Everything is pretty much closed and we are asked to keep a 2m distance from other people, stay home and go out as little as possible. As this pretty much was our normal life except for going to work...not so much changed for us. And workwise I can work from home...So although the restrictions are there...we two at least are doing great.

Can clear glitter be used? Quarantined. Or is there a way to dye the glitter?...amazing painting!

well clear glitter can be used. i will take the color of the resin. Dying glitter...dont think so but white transparent glitter (if there is such thing) would work too

@@maryannparadise8709 have you tried using liquitex pouring medium as a coating. It has a resin effect, not quite as good but if you have issues with resin worth trying. You can add glitter etc in it. Just pour over like resin and leave to dry. Takes a few days to harden properly but is then waterproof. I even poured boiling water on for an experiment for my art blog.
