A new channel for parrot lovers! I go out in the field and film wild parrots. I also film my pet parrots, as well as parrots in zoos.
I read the most useful parrot books and magazines, then I publish here a video-review.
Please subscribe and click on the bell so you get notified when I publish my next video. You will learn about parrots and support this educational project. Thanks!

When I started playing this next to my parrot he just stared at me. My bird is a sennie and I love him. I’m taking him to my dorm room when I get to college because he’s been in his cage for years because of my dog and they don’t get along. I’m even thinking of giving him his own room. So far I have 3 pets. 8 if you count EVERY one of my fish. A German Shepherd, Senegal parrot, and some fish
My 5 month old male budgie called SIONUN, loves this video, after waking up, having his spray shower, this video gets him chriping, and moving his little head side to side, One day he might talk. But at the moment he very tame has a whole room to fly around in goes to bed at 7.30, Millet spray ready for him, breakfast is TRILL but he will NOT touch any fruit or vegetables, I worry about this, He gets vitamins from VIT MIN DROPS. THANK YOU
I highly recommend playing this video to your birds! My parakeets have been listening to this video for years and it's their absolute favorite! They become immediately excited, lively, happy, talkative, and spirited! Thank you. - THU, Oct 3, 2024 11:01PM PT Artist Ladessa Sulivan @CandyAcidReign
I am going to check out Rosemary's other books, as well. My Timneh gray is very grateful to her for taking the time to write about her family (psittacines).
My Mom had these 2 budgies Minnie and Mickey . She went into the hospital and ended up being put into a home on hospice . I took over the care of her two budgies . They are now in my home with my husband and my pitbull Molly . The budgies are my pitbull's babies They were really scared at first i found your video and the budgies are singing and jumping around and bobbing up and down . I now play this video everyday for them . Thank you for making this video . Its only been a week since we brought them to our home and this has helped greatly to get Minnie and Mickey adjusted . Now our pitbull Molly and the budgies Minnie and Mickey all love listening to this video . Thanks again😊
If you visit Australia, you will see these birds together in the wild. In fact, there are more species there than at the zoo. Lots of finches, doves, and other parrot species that they don't keep in this aviary. Apparently, birds feel good when they can see and hear other birds around them, if they are naturally associated with them in the wild.
African Grey Parrots have been observed to mimic many other species in the wild. Apparently they have great fun imitating other sounds. Plus it's a way of showing off to their mates. In captivity they can mimic human speech, but just observe Jays (in Europe and the UK) and you will see the same behaviour in the wild. Jays mimic buzzards, cats, lambs, etc. It's the same with African Greys in Uganda.
Yes, I was looking online to find the best places to find Budgerigars in the wild. It seems like Alice Springs is a good area, but I hope to find some other places, closer to Sydney, or Melbourne, closer to airports. If I ever go, of course. It's far away from Britain and not cheap at all!
Many thanks for your feedback and advice! I’m working on my next video about Amazon Parrots and Macaws in Costa Rica and it seems that it’s going to be longer.
my birds love your videos but we cant tolerate the constant ads. they pop up every two minutes and get longer and longer. keep up the good work. i hope you can do videos without ads someday. I just got youtube premium just so my birds can enjoy your videos. lol
Thank you so much for your feedback! Unfortunately, Google runs adds on whichever videos they want. I have completely demonetised my main channel and nothing changed with adds, they run just like before, but they don't pay anything to me. I have the same problem as you, as I use my videos and others' for my Senegal Parrot. So I have a playlist with my favourite videos and I let it play on the TV. Adds tend to play less and less if you don't interact with them. So I don't skip them. Practically the system can't tell if anyone is watching, so they stop playing the adds after a while. That's good for leaving my parrot with the sounds of the African forests playing for hours. For African parrots, here's my list: ru-vid.com/group/PL2L97i1neAfReO7-Ayl_DwimX0oDP7dcN&si=RPXN51bWkzlPmlN5 For budgies, you can try this one: ru-vid.com/group/PL2L97i1neAfSIvTpJxz83sirsb_Z56EZV&si=_xIweBrcJ7noE43V Best wishes! what an amazing aviary and love all the birds apart from when that big bird tried to eat a budgie. I would love to visit a place like this and my 2 budgies love these type of videos.
It's just a question of food. As long as they get enough calories from food, their body has the energy to keep the temperature constant. It's a bit cold, but birds are very good at regulating their body temperature and their plumage insulates very well against losses of heat. Parrots in Stuttgart come to bird feeders in winter and eat oil-rich seeds such as sunflower. That's their secret!
