Stories of ghosts--well, yes, but the most endearing quality of his channel is that it tells calmly and movingly stories of living men and women. I somehow feel, if you will, the ghost of Dickens in a somber mood
Just discovered your channel! I love ghost stories and found this one very interesting. I don't think I will be staying at the Luxor after watching this and reading the comments. Sphinxes also creeped me out as a kid. However, looking forward to a Queen Mary video! I've been there several times.
Nicola, I'm watching your channel instead of watching television. Love the Post Scripts and Menus at the end of your videos. Thanks for your hard work on these videos.
What a gorgeous little dog. What breed is he/she? I love the colour of ĥis/her fur. Sorry for being so nosey. I am a big fan of your channel, by the way, as well as your dog.❤😂
Thank you! I've read other, rather sensationalized accounts, particularly of the human "monster" of Glamis. You present a view of the matter that is both humane, compelling and credible. Refreshing to come across!
Oh maybe. But the actual store inside is so cool! Very different to the UK stores. The produce section was amazing. I could have spent a day just looking around! 🤭
I don't know which one is creepier. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre house being converted into a Bed and Breakfast or Wargrave prison being turned into flatts.
I've lived in Lincolnshire most of my life, only a hour drive from Hemswell. This is the first I've heard of this dog knocking around Hemswell. The Green Lady of Thorpe Hall might interest you. Brilliant upload Nicola 👍😀 xx
The Luxor was always unsettling to me in its ambiance. It was not a happy feeling sort of place. The terrace hallways were scary in terms of looking str8 down. But I stayed many times and memorized the layout and then got used to it. Mainly by the time I began staying there it felt past it’s prime and left over from the 90s, nothing seemed to fit it, save for blue man, most residency acts were regional in nature. Never felt like home and I was always happy when I got to leave it.
I agree, there’s a strange feeling there, I think. That atrium is terrifying! I wonder if they’ll knock it down and put something new on the site. 🤷♀️👻
Wow. I looked into the last story about Madame de Mazarin (e), and it would seem she has something to do with a book I'm working on (that is about the lives of long-dead people). 🤫Knowing Mazarin's life as I do, her soul coming back wouldn't surprise me. I love this channel, and who knew I would find this story directly connected to me? That must be fate.
Really cool video, interesting stuff! That guy would have freaked me out as well lol. I wonder what was up with him... creepily weird. No one could pay me enough to stay in that place, terrified of heights lol. "The spyglass thing" made me smile, it was cute lol - we call it a peep hole here in the US but goodness knows what that means in the UK given that 'fanny pack' is definitely not a small belted handbag there 😆 - differences in word meanings between our countries are comical sometimes. I always wanted to see the Titanic exhibit there and definitely do believe that objects can hold spiritual energy. I'll always feel that The Big Piece should be displayed in Belfast, but not for me to decide lol, and I would still love to see it wherever it resides. Just subscribed, going to check out more of your videos. <3
Oh thank you so much and welcome to the channel. So glad you enjoyed the video. It is a bit of a strange hotel and that atrium is odd! Yes you’re right about the different meanings in the UK and USA. It catches me out sometimes! 👻🙋♀️
Hi nichola awesome live history video I enjoyed it. How is your weekend going? My weekend is going well and my cat Benjamin is doing well also. Have a great day see you next video 😊
ln regard to the young princes. lf you have not already done so, l recommend that you read the book The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey (Elizabeth MacKintosh). lt may help you form a slightly different opinion of Richard Duke of Gloucester than that held by Shakespeare.
My best friend and I stayed at the Luxor and had a great time. We were on the 16th. floor as well. If you’re afraid of heights definitely don’t look over and straight down. It only took me one time to do that to get it out of my system, lol. The only incident that I recall was when we went by the Titanic exhibit one evening when it was closed. Not what I seen but what I felt, just a strange and unsettling feeling to the point that we didn’t want to stick around.
