Thanks for this video I need to replace one on a Toyota chr and the setup looks similar. Is the module beside the belt just a tensioner or is there any kind of airbag stuff within it. Also once a car has been in an accident is the seatbelt permanently locked and needs replacing or can it be reset sonehow. Thanks.
bro can you help me i have 750i 4.4 2017 same engine as yours ,, i have too much pressure in coolant tank after removing and reinstalling the system when diagnosing it to change heat exchnager due to a faild one as i had milksahke coolant tank , i did compression test 175 on all 7 only one cylinder had 160psi and i did fluid head gasket test stayed blue ,,i have diagnostic code with 1D2008 MAP THERMOSTAT: JAMMED OPEN , CAN THIS BE My extra pressure from coolant or air in system ? i put anti freeze in the car and all pushed it all out the coolant tank
when the car is cold no bubbbles in the coolant tank all normal and the temp gauage never goes up more than 90 so i know no overheating but when it gets hot it spits all the coolant out the coolant tank is this air or the thermostat as diagnostic says stuck open ....???
im gonna try the bleed it the way you did it bleed the intercooler system then bleed the engine coolant tank but im not sure if the thermostat is causing this
I was wondering if you could help me out here, I have a 2008 ML350, while taking out the radiator, I mistakenly pulled the AC line from the Radiator side, Freon vented out in the garage and it was not a comfortable moment. I have since not driven my car or even turned the key, it stayed in the garage but did not cover the pulled line but it stayed in the engine bay. The Compressor hoses are still connected. I am worried if I need a flush? A new condenser? Or put the hose back and go to a garage and have it recharged? Thanks for helping out.
@@Smudg sorry to hear about that! Just check the ac lines o rings if they are not ripped put the AC line back and take your car to the garage for the full service recovery/vacuum & recharge and you should be good!! Nothing to worry about!
@@Bsquaredplus2 yes!! We did but I didn’t show the clip 😅 definitely a great idea 🙌🏽 I got locked out before and had to go through the rear seats and it wasn’t fun lol
@@gdscott8276 well I wish that was an option the seat belt was completely locked to the seat as you saw at the beginning of the video and moving the seat forward or backward isn’t an option since the seat belt is attached to the seat itself. If you continue to watch instead of skipping forward you would have seen that before you commented 🙌🏽 glad the video was helpful tho!
@@gdscott8276 no need to apologize! we all skip through videos 99% of the times 😂 I am just glad it helped and if you need anything feel free to contact on social!
This is really helpful and thorough. Please I have a an F10 535i xdrive that needs a replacement front bumper after hitting a deer. I would like to know if a 528i bumper assembly would fit in. thank you for your help!
I recently bought the American Civic X for daily use. The car has been through a small crash on the side and the side curtains/airbags exploded. I've bought the replacement part and airbags and the car is currently being worked on, which brings me to my question. Do I need to reset/replace the SRS module in the car? I've heard that in some cars, after the airbags go off you need to replace the module, as replacing the airbags only will result in them going off as soon as you turn on the vehicle. I've also heard it's not necessary in every vehicle. What should I do?
@@brownsburg.motorsports also, do you think it's better to reset it or replace the unit completely? i know a guy who specializes in reseting these units so i was thinking with goin with this
@@MASTERMIKEEE I just added the link in the description for what I recommend using! Any electronic cleaner you can pick at the local parts store or from Amazon, spray it on the connector let it sit for 3-5 seconds and brush it with a tooth brush then run some air through it with an air gun or spray to dry it off and get the corrosion off
@@brownsburg.motorsports It’s okay to clean with a brush as long as the battery is disconnected? Also was your fuse blown? My corrosion looked just like yours.
@@brownsburg.motorsports ok check this out - put everything together and the corroded side still didn’t work!! After hours of troubleshooting, I realized the left and right assembly’s have the same power connection; just inverted. So I connected the (known good) right side assembly to the (unknown/not working) left power plug. It worked!! This seems to confirm that the new headlight assembly is not working, right? And then to double check, I tried the (apparently broken) assembly on the good power cable, and it still did not work! Planning to return it and get a replacement.
@@MASTERMIKEEE nice troubleshooting steps 🙌🏽 did you replace the TMS or just the assembly? TMS could also be the culprit I have ran into that before 🥲 you could swap the TMS from the good headlight that’s working to the one that seems to not be working and test again on the side with the corroded plug and see if it works if it still doesn’t the get a replacement but If it does work then get a new TMS just make sure they have the same amount of prongs because there are multiple ones!
Great video, thank you for sharing! Is it possible to change the serpentine belt like this or do we have to remove the bumper (put the car in service mode)?
@@brownsburg.motorsports Actually a good question, how high can you life the engine without damaging anything if the engine mounts loosen? I don't have a lift, so maybe an engine hoist. Ed Michael
@@Smudg not having good engine mounts good potentially harm your engine depending on the make and module, I would recommend the engine hoist that’s a good idea if you don’t have a lift!
Great video! If you raise the wheel, the upper control arm will slide right off, no extra tools needed. There is a lot of pressure on it when the wheel is jacked up.
Question: Is it possible to access all 30 timing cover bolts without putting the vehicle in service mode? I need to inspect all bolts to see which ones are loose or broken. Thanks again.
Thanks for this video. The lights really look great. Any chance you can share some more videos of them in the dark with each sequence (turn signal each side) and if possible a very close up,video of the actual lights installed so I can see how the sit against the car? I know that’s asking a lot. Either way, thanks for sharing. Looks good!
Sorry But that´s not a good work. the best way to change the thermostat on G11 G12 2016-2023 is from the bellow it´s much better and it takes maximum 2 Hours works
@@bladezone5672 I am sure everyone got his ways but your input is noted. Thanks for watching the video 🙌🏽 ( the video was made mostly for the people without lift access 😉)
@@dirod27 the procedure for the front shock is different I have a video that shows front shocks on an F30 3 series, it’s practically the same steps just different parts you can find the video on my channel! Thank you for watching 🙌🏽
@@hcervantes bleeding the system is only required if air was introduced in the brake system so like a brake line was replaced or a brake hose or an ABS pump, but if it’s just rotors and pads then you don’t need to just make sure you pump the brakes 3/4 times before driving after you’re done replacing the pads and/or rotors so that the calipers settles on the new brakes
@@C.Eazy86 I don’t think there is an easier way to remove the AC control I believe that’s the I lt method giving that the housing for the AC control was covered by the surrounding pieces
Video showed exactly where to remove every clip on the part being removed. Loved the video. I followed it step by step and my part came off without any damage.
hi, thank you for your video, i want to remove the visor both sides. In its place, i want to reuse the triangle cover with the 2 screws. Can pls help advise how to pull out the visor metal pole from the triangle cover? thank you so much...
Dang good job! My 2018 sprung a leak. I had initially assumed it was a hose, so i ordered a few different ones. But it seems easy enough to remove everything and check for pressure to see if its the radiator. Thank you for posting, actually gives me some piece of mind on the simplicity of it. Ty!!
@@RJTillRacing best thing to do is either put the air suspension in service mode with a professional scanner if not then disconnect the battery and lift the car!
I purchased salvaged 2017 civic, and am having some issues with the electronics! I had to replace the airbag and had the airbag control module reset! These codes only popped up after removing the airbag module! What could this be?
@@wesleyshaw2653 with Honda SWS (Seat Weight Sensor) initialization is needed ALWAYS even if the airbag is reset the SRS light will still be there, I would say any shop with an autel or launch or snap scanner can do it for you, it shouldn’t be very expensive either it’s under and hour job with the scanner
Excellent video sir, I'm about to dive into this exact job tomorrow, need to replace the visor on the sunroof of a 15 Bmw X1 , the rail that open and closes it still works, jus the material missing, note this is a single piece boardless visor, just that thin dotted hole vent material Do I need to remove the entire roof too for this job or can I just drop the woodliner? any advice, much appreciated
Thank you 🙌🏽 good luck with the repair! I am pretty sure the entire thing has to come down to be able to remove that it’s similar to the process on any BMW GT (Grand Turismo)
I need your assistance! I have a 2011 535i Xdrive when I first purchased from dealership the detail guy there had it for 2 days I go to pick it up the headlight was full of water broke the seal and they wouldn’t replace. My turn signal and daytime lights didn’t work. But high and low beam worked I had rats crawl into my engine chew through wires it was in the shop for 7 months. The driver headlight with issues now no lights work but my right side headlight that has no issues all the lights work but the right side turn signal isn’t working either. The turn signal lights up but idk if it’s a bulb issue or module would I be able to send you pics and u let me know what my options are! Ik for sure I need a new driver headlight but all the lights work on the other and the seals are still good. Is there any more parts I need to order for the headlight then what’s linked below in the description?
Thanks for posting this video. This helped me immensely; I'm removing my seat belts on my 2023 300C to have them redone in a red material by Seat Belt Planet.
If this is a North American car then it originally comes with a dual stage airbag...what you installed is a single stage European airbag. Hence the error code.
That is correct! and that’s exactly why I mentioned the fix for it at the end of the video per customer’s request 🙌🏽 also the car still has the safety terminal deployed 😬
In my 2017 civic, I removed the passenger seat reconnected it and now the SRS light is on the dashboard. How would I go about removing the light? Is there a way to reset the SRS in the 2017civic?
You could try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins but if that doesn’t work you need someone with a scanner to clear the code preferably a professional one, not the ones from autozone or O’reilly those only read codes
Hey so my question is which 2 out of the 4 wires controls the seat belt pre tensioner ? There is 4 wires 2 are for the seat buckle and 2 are for the pre tensioner ?? Which two are for the pretensioner i want to know because i want to bypass bmw pretensioner resistance too high with a resistor but i need to know where to insert the resistor
@@bryansautoandmotorcyclerepairs best way to be sure (because I really forgot 😅) would be to pull the seat a little bit and check the wires connectors colors coming from the buckle itself and then check the colors at the main connector level and go from there!
