I used to travel to Hemel Hempstead from Wales from 1987 to 1989, so this brought back one or two memories. I used to come here to stay with a family who lived in Pescot Hill in Gadebridge, tow of the girls in that family used to go to Hemel Salvation army when major B Watts was the captain there, good days.
That is very true about the bronze map I'm always forgetting it's there haha. Love the video. Hemel Hempstead is still miserable. It's a shithole actually.
Well done to get Ken Livingstone to do the voice-over! I presume that "food poison" has topped himself. If not please do not make another film. Probably the best reason for banning amateurs from owning video cameras.
let local companies advertise and sponsor materials for local artists, job done. Energy is better spent on positive rather than its opposite. You reap what you sow, agreed?
You know that water fountain statue i saw a bra and a dress on the girl once when i was drunk in ye old full house that was funny. But this guy makes me want to kill myself as im from hemel just shows how much it needs updateing.
This is brill. I was born in Hellhole Hempstead and this superb film perfectly sums up what was often miserable about the "Dacorum" town centre. There's no crock of gold to be found at the end of this rainbow. Just some ugly street furniture and Burger King". Classic. This ought to be broadcast on national TV. What ever happened to that Wimpy high up on the ramp?!
One of the best videos I have ever seen on RU-vid. It wouldn't have been nearly as good had you shown just a hint of enthusiasm. I also love the way you did it in monotone.
oh you should really do this again, the droll commentary is wonderfully sharp. I will disagree about most of the art, in another time it was an eclectic, historic and fervant collection.., I suppose now most of it is just something else for witless uneducated Chav society to moan about and vandalise. keep at it will ya and somebody do something about that enormous stupid rainbow, looks like a yesman from New labor thought it would appeal to young people...pffft!
