Working on my Nautique and trying to get rid of scratches on the gunnel using a heavy cut but looks like the scratches are too deep do I need to sand these out?

I’ve done paint correction of cars but this would be my first boat so I’m not confident on charging that😂
I’m very new to boat detailing and cleaning services, we own a luxury cleaning service for commercial residential and now looking to do boats. What would you recommend to price the job by, by ft or by hour? How do you make and set your prices based off the boat. And lastly, do you take payment after a job or require deposit and then final payment or just all up front. We deal with some places not wanting to pay after a job which is why I require a job paid beforehand but I also figure most people getting boat detailing, are wealthier and probably would pay
Thanks! Yes, it’s just a DA polisher. Their forced rotation is called the Millie. I HIGHLY recommend the Rupes Mille. It’s an awesome forced rotation machine!
Are you preferring a 21mm or forced rotation on the polishing step? I’m working on figuring out the best solution. There are a lot variables to factor in particular situations. I just want to get your thought
My wheels leave alot of residue left regardless of the speed I go, is my angle grinder to fast? Mine is 11,000 not 6 like he is using? Driving me crazy any tips are welcome

The shine supply site has Daddy-O paint sealant and Cherry Ceramic Wax can I use either for step 3? Your link for the wax goes to a different product on Amazon, not sure which I should be using. Hey bro! Those are good, just car power lock is a very good polymer sealant as well. If you want to go to ceramic route, shine supplies bead lock is very good as well.

I see in your other videos you do a dawn wash before wax, should I do a dawn soap wash after the medium cut or should I do the dawn wash after the wakeup?

New subscriber here! Awesome videos. Question, can I use a buff and shine cut pad on the Flex 3401 as well? Or do I need to purchase the Makita for cutting? I have a 2011 Grady White and the interior has oxidation primarily on the horizontal surfaces which I think need to be cut.
In my personal opinion, for heavy cutting, you can only use a Makita or a different rotary. A force rotation with a heavy cut pan will just never do exactly what you needed to do, it’s best to leave it for removing swirl marks and making the paint/gelcoat like glass.
Great vid! I like to use a battery powered leaf blower to clear off excess water and a spotless car wash water system to minimize hard water spots. Makes drying the boat much easier and quicker.
I'm one of those guys who sell themselves short 😅 I'm doing a topside 6 step 800,1000,1500,2000 wet-sanding, levelR, sealant Including most of the hull, as I have no floating platform so I'm doing what I can reach. Quoted $2100 This excludes the cockpit sitting area I give it 6 full days solo (roundabouts) I'm taking the job because I gave it to my more so full time employer but she quoted 4k and he wasn't happy with that price I'm still charging ~54$/ft Which .. by the way is thr highest per foot I've ever quoted. 😅
when you polish an RV with bad oxidation, do you follow the same steps that you do on boats as per your other uploaded videos? Shine supply heavy cut, chop top, same pads etc?

Wow! Amazing change. I restored my 97 Four Winns Horizon and it was maybe 1/4 that bad. I see I have a few more steps to do to it after watching your process. I used Mezerna products but will check into the Shine products. I just now came across your channel and have subscribed to it. Looking forward to more knowledge and tips. Keep up the amazing work.
After working on a 16ft open skiff I bought that was chalky but basically open with minimal crevices and a smooth floor, all I can say is holy cow! the amount of work it takes to go over any of these bigger boats, top to bottom, 3 and 4 times like you do. Up, down, inside outside, rinse repeat, wax on wax off, damn man, worth every penny.
It can if you want it to, however aftermath is definitely a great product. Aftermath will give you more of a glossy shine, whereas underdog is mainly just to do the job of getting hard stains and hard water out
Would love to talk to sometime. Better yet, next time I’m in Bainbridge GA for head to Pensacola and shake your hand. I was diagnosed with viral infection throat cancer June 2023. 7 weeks of chemo and radiation and I was still feeling okay. A month after treatment I started feeling REALLY BAD. Throwing up every hour, not able to eat, but worse not keeping up with my water, Gatorade and Pedialyte. Crashed one night about 11:00 pm, on the kitchen floor. Knocked a tooth, must’ve tried getting up multiple times from where all the pools of blood were. Luckily a friend couldn’t get me on the phone so he stopped by and found me. A week in the hospital for dehydration. During that week I kept having these flashbacks of my time on the kitchen floor. At first it was really weird because all I could remember was walking with someone that was like an old friend, just never saw him. He was beside me and always slightly behind me. And for some reason we hit every school I went to. Nursery School, Patrick AFB, Kindergarten (Clark AFB) Raleigh Road Elementary (Pope AFB) all the way through high school. (Don’t remember going to Florida Southern with that old friend, which was weird. Got a religion degree there, so if that old friend was Jesus, wouldn’t he want to stop by there???) With time passing, the “dream” has gotten fuzzer. But all the things you should experience post cancer and losing 70 pounds I didn’t. I’ve been cancer free, pain free and almost immediately after getting out of the hospital better than normal. I wasn’t the most religious person, I kinda went through the motions. But I ran into this black woman in my bank parking lot and I felt compelled to talk to her. Somehow being a cancer survivor came up, as was she. And when I told her my dream walk and how I physically felt better now than I did pre-cancer. She wouldn’t let me go till I admitted it was God’s will, he cured me, made me better than before and that was Jesus I was walking with. I sorta blew it off, admired her faith and was glad I met her, but I was still looking for a medical reason for my bounce back. As time goes on I’m starting to think “Divine Intervention”. Guys I went through chemo and radiation have died, one had it spread to his lungs, another had a stroke and is basically blind and can’t walk. And I come out of it all feeling better than I ever have in my life.
