Would love to talk to sometime. Better yet, next time I’m in Bainbridge GA for head to Pensacola and shake your hand. I was diagnosed with viral infection throat cancer June 2023. 7 weeks of chemo and radiation and I was still feeling okay. A month after treatment I started feeling REALLY BAD. Throwing up every hour, not able to eat, but worse not keeping up with my water, Gatorade and Pedialyte. Crashed one night about 11:00 pm, on the kitchen floor. Knocked a tooth, must’ve tried getting up multiple times from where all the pools of blood were. Luckily a friend couldn’t get me on the phone so he stopped by and found me. A week in the hospital for dehydration. During that week I kept having these flashbacks of my time on the kitchen floor. At first it was really weird because all I could remember was walking with someone that was like an old friend, just never saw him. He was beside me and always slightly behind me. And for some reason we hit every school I went to. Nursery School, Patrick AFB, Kindergarten (Clark AFB) Raleigh Road Elementary (Pope AFB) all the way through high school. (Don’t remember going to Florida Southern with that old friend, which was weird. Got a religion degree there, so if that old friend was Jesus, wouldn’t he want to stop by there???) With time passing, the “dream” has gotten fuzzer. But all the things you should experience post cancer and losing 70 pounds I didn’t. I’ve been cancer free, pain free and almost immediately after getting out of the hospital better than normal. I wasn’t the most religious person, I kinda went through the motions. But I ran into this black woman in my bank parking lot and I felt compelled to talk to her. Somehow being a cancer survivor came up, as was she. And when I told her my dream walk and how I physically felt better now than I did pre-cancer. She wouldn’t let me go till I admitted it was God’s will, he cured me, made me better than before and that was Jesus I was walking with. I sorta blew it off, admired her faith and was glad I met her, but I was still looking for a medical reason for my bounce back. As time goes on I’m starting to think “Divine Intervention”. Guys I went through chemo and radiation have died, one had it spread to his lungs, another had a stroke and is basically blind and can’t walk. And I come out of it all feeling better than I ever have in my life.
I am so happy that I was just doing research to take care of my boat, and then I found your testimony... I was just talking to my brother about Bethel yesterday morning. Our generation was dragged through some evil stuff, and I'm right there with you on a lot of your feelings. I'm glad you're doing better... I can relate so much to the happiness of leaving certain ways of living behind. Today's sermon was "change takes time". And I do feel so much better a place in life than a year ago, all from an amazing church I'm blessed to be a part of and started attending about a year ago.

We are located on Pine Island but also work in Cape Coral/ Fort Myers. We do structural fiberglass and gelcoat repair and some detailing. God has granted me the opportunity for my job at Drydock Marina to start detailing boats that we normally subcontract out. I normally just move boats around for mechanics and I still have a lot to learn. They are willing to put up the start up for tools but I don’t want to get too crazy in debt. The boats are there almost as many as I can keep up with but they are taking a good chunk of percentage
You inspired me to go it on my own, and as a woman in this business, it's not easy. Add to that our season in Toronto is 5 months long. I wouldn't change it for the world. It's been a wild ride so far!
@DrakesDetailing lol, have I inadvertently joined the bro club? 😂 Either way, I appreciate the response, let's me know I'm heading in the right direction. Trust me, there have been times that I almost gave up. Usually that was in the dead of winter when I had to find a "normal job" to keep paying the bills. In March I'll most likely be working on scaffolding on a frozen lake polishing hulls. The worst day this season was in -20° polishing hulls. It was cold, but I still loved it.

Wahoo! Welcome back. That’s awesome you went to ministry school. I’m in Fernandina Beach Florida. I’ve just started cleaning boats with a neighbor. Currently he’s paying me $20 an hour to wash boats and he wants me to do it in one to two hours. I think this is ridiculous so I’ve decided to go out on my own. He doesn’t really like washing boats in the first place. He does cleaning on the bottom side with diving gear. Your videos have definitely helped. However I am not experienced enough to do the kind of detailing that you do yet. I’m having to work on myself as well I also struggle with my past. I am a Christian and am working on a closer relationship with God. Can you do a basic beginner video tutorial for a regular wash? Or send me the link to a video you have already done. For beginner. Sorry if you've covered this in a video and I missed it. I've watched a lot of them, but haven't gotten through all of them. I own auto detailing equipment. I purchased a 20 year old tige for my family and want to spruce it up. Not looking to break into boat detailing as a business. While a rotary would be nice, it's a fairly spendy piece of equipment that won't get used much. What do you recommend for equipment and products for someone doing things for themselves?

I’m currently working for BGS marine sales as a Yamaha certified outboard technician. After hours I operate a “side hustle” and do all the detailing for the company, along with my brother in law. It’s lucrative and I make great money, but it’s soaking up all the time away from my family. I’m looking for something I can do to support our “lifestyle” while only working one job. I listened to you say that you’re building a team here locally in Pensacola, Fl (I live in Perdido Key, FL). I’m interested in seeing what growth and benefits you have for employees or even just option for a mentor to kick my business off. I am more than willing to put my whole self in as an asset to your future growth here, unless you’ve already began building your team.
