Yeah, the reason of why SMB2 is so strange, is because the original SMB 2 in Japan was just like the first one, but with extreme difficult. They were afraid that the players in the west got frustrated and disliked the game because of that. That's why they readapted Doki Doki Panic. But it's important to clarify something, is not like they stole some game and just put the Mario characters on it. Doki doki was not only made by Nintendo, but also designed by Miyamoto himself. That's why in Doki Doki you can see Mario items like POWs (from Mario Bros.) or the Invincible Star. Also, curiously enough, Doki Doki's game engine began as a Super Mario tech demo, experimenting with vertical style levels, so at the end of the day, it all went full circle. 17:24 In Mario's head, since all the game is his dream 😂 P.S: Good video! I hope she tries also SMB 3, my favourite!
Next you'll be telling use that Frankenstein was the name of the doctor, not the monster, that throughout the rest of the world, soccer is known as Football or fútbol, and that Zelda is the name of the Princess, (who there are actually multiple incarnations of,)and not the protagonist. Thank you, Professor Facts That Everyone Knows... What would we EVER do without you?!?
Take care with that down power line. Probably a lot of snakes out there as well. So sorry you have to deal with this, but like you said, the main thing is that everyone’s ok.
I know this is the second video, but this is my first exposure to your pc videos. It would have been helpful to see the pc specs in the video or the description. Using batocera with my setup (10100 i3, 16gb ddr4) I would get a weird screen tear on sony systems with intel igpu. I bought a rx 550, and that seemed to cure it though Im having issues with xbox emulation now. You talked about difficulty with wii controls. Have you tried the dolphin bar? Does that even work with batocera?
Ya man, it's mostly edited out in the video but the Wii controls, mapping them to a logitech ps3 style controller, were a pain in the ass. Once I had them mapped everything ran fine but you would have to put in the work of mapping controls for each game. It can definitely be done tho. And no I haven't tried anything with the dolphin bar, is that the stock bar that comes with the Wii?
Pretty clear video and kind of what I expected :) I am running similar machine M910 with i7-7700t and i see pretty similar results (with vulkan may help in some games, still laggy and with screen tearing, for ps3, xbox and xbox 360) I appreciate you going through the pain of testing :D Ideally I'd like to go for a ps3 emulation on this type of form factor but I understand it is difficult/expensive Maybe an external GPU may be an option but it gets messy and I like the cleanness of this form factor Thank you again and happy to see more like this or your more powerful machines :)
I think it can be done in atleast the SFF cases for sure. Maybe just not THIS small yet. I'm gonna try PS3/xbox/360 on the arcade build next and see how that one performs.
For the guys asking about the Switch: Batocera is pretty adamant about being an OS for "RETRO" emulation and retro systems. As such there is no emulator for current gen systems included. You could add any systems you want of course however this is pretty frowned upon in the Batocera community. I have used Switch emulators in the past and the games weren't fully emulated at that point last year so I moved on.
The original Nosferatu (1922) silent film was an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula novel (which at the time had not yet been made into a movie). In fact the production was sued by Stoker's wife for not getting permission and had to be shelved for some time I believe. The plot takes the core elements from Stoker's novel and strips it down to its essentials, and changes the names of what characters are left behind. Jonathan and Mina Harker become Thomas and Ellen Hutter; Count Dracula becomes Count Orlok. Which Coppola's 1992 movie adapts nearly perfectly compared to almost every version before or after IMHO. So if that's a fave of yours, you'll know the basic story beats to this upcoming Eggers movie. Eggers seems to be adapting the original 1922 film here, and adding elements of both the OG Dracula novel, like Van Helsing (who didn't really have a real proxy in the silent film), and Herr Knock (a mashup of Jonathon Harker's employer and Renfield) being more of a Renfield character. There also seem to be element of cult activity; possibly Orlok having followers (gypsies), like in Stoker's Dracula. Between that, the heavy gothic Victorian horror vibes; and the heavier German expressionism influence, I am STOKED for this one! If you haven't seem The Witch, or The Northman (both by the same director), DO IT! 💀
He is, but he's also right. As a first time viewer I've never seen you before so the introduction is very important, especially if you want to stand out from all the other similar channels. Nice to meet you and yes it does look good!
This is like the 3rd or 4th video I've seen this week where it was stated or implied that Wolfenstein 3d was the first ever FPS game. It really wasn't. It merely made it super popular. It's the ignorance that has people declare that Pong was the first video game ever, and it certainly was not either.
Seeing a vvoman struggle on I'm Too Young To Die makes me glad the forces of Hell aren't invading Earth and it's not up to one lone goth chick to save us all. How is circle-strafing not intuitive? We'll never know.
How do you set it up to play all those emulators and how do you set it up to play all those emulators like what is there a tutorial guide on how to do it
