In 2018, I could not stress enough how much I wanted to start a RU-vid Channel where I had so much freedom to build my car while being able to document it for anyone who wanted to tag along on my journey. I was scared for no reason but now I'm having the best time making videos. Don't let anyone put you down, if you want to do something, just do it. YOU are your biggest setback.
My goal is to live my best life while inspiring others. I made the mistake of not documenting anything I did to my last car and I regret it because it almost seems like I never had it to begin with. Not this time. Welcome to my channel where you get to see me do anything, everything and sometimes even nothing.
Subscribe now to follow me on this journey and watch me ruin my car!
How is it all for content? I wanted to buy a car for my fiancé cause she needed a car and it’s content? I totally chose to get scammed for more than $10k just to make less than $1k off this video. Makes sense. Thanks for watching though! 🙏🏾
When was the last time I promoted them? When they actually were selling and had good customer service? Lol. If you follow me on IG, you would’ve seen that I cut ties with them ages ago and put them on blast. They’ve gone to absolute dog shit ever since they sold the company to some random ass college kids that aren’t even into cars
The seller and owner are working together, bro. Why didn't the seller report the car was stolen when it was missing. I remembered that i have to provide my ID to get a smog check, so check with the smog check guy.
Yeah the smog check was in San Diego. I didn’t wanna go all the way back to San Diego. I had the owners name and stuff cause he was the one that signed the documents. Ultimately, it just wasn’t worth the hassle
it's a big lesson for sure. sadly, we have to assume the worst of people's intentions. if its too good to be true, its likely is. you live and learn bro
Most definitely! I honestly may shy away from buying private party altogether. I’ve had friends who have dealt with scammers going as far as making fake titles.
Ah I’m so sorry to hear that, Brandon. It definitely sucks and nobody deserves to go through any of this. I’m glad you came out of it stronger! The comeback is always greater than the setback!🙏🏾
What sucks is that you can’t trust anyone anymore. Like there’s only people who scam. Sorry to hear this happen. Sad to see you can’t trust anyone for nothing.
Right! It’s all good. I used to always give the benefit of the doubt but I’ll have my guard up and this won’t ever happen again. Thank you so much for watching!🙏🏾
I saw where they did the smog. All they put down was a name. Which is the name on the actual car lien. So it’s the original owner. However the original owner was NOT there at the sale. So I’m sure this seller and the owner are working together to scam people.
sucks dude. given the situation, while it cant be driven in public legally and not scamming the next person, why not turn it into a track car? invest in a truck+trailer and haul it around. could be good content for your channel
Because it was meant to be a daily driver for my fiancé😅 I didn’t really wanna dump money into a car that isn’t street legal.. I wanted to just enjoy it for what it was, a Honda civic😭
Sorry to hear that happened to you and your girl :/ I can only imagine the stress, anxiety, effort, and time you had to put into trying to figure this all out. I know the financial portion of the whole situation sucks the most but at least you were able to get a portion of your money back and get rid of that mentally draining situation. Wishing you the best on your next purchase bro 💪🏼🙏🏼
This is exactly what happen to me same exact thing but thank god that the guy ended up not being a scam and he ended up getting the lien released and went to the dmv with me but I was so stressed never ever buy a car with no title
That’s so good! I’m glad you got it handled! I was hoping and praying the seller would just like he said but nope, he ghosted me completely so I just had to move forward, unfortunately 🥺
@@JasonNguyen yeah man unfortunately if you had any proof of ownership you could request the pay off lien packet from the company and just pay it off but not having any documents is kind of tough
My IS is a 2015. The one I used for this video is a 2021. You would need a car that already comes with Apple CarPlay from factory in order to run this device!
Sorry to hear about this Jason.I was just in the same situation about a year ago.Yeah they are out there bro.I just hope that karma gets them back more than what they can handle!!!
I’m sorry that happened to you as well. I don’t wish this upon anyone. It’s a terrible feeling. But hey, it happens. We can only learn from it and move forward!🙏🏾
@@JasonNguyen true that bro…There was so many things that was running in my head at that time like evil things but I didn’t let my anger get to me.Found another way around it.That’s the only thing we can do is to learn from it.Just sucks that you bought it here in San diego.
No criticism, bro, just empathy. These things happen to the best of us, sorry that it happened to you. But I bet you're definitely scam proof now! Sad video, but still glad you posted it. It might help someone in the future be more mindful of their next car purchase.
Thank you so much, dude. It was rough the first month of trying to figure out what to do, exhausting all my resources, etc. ultimately, it was just better to let it go and move forward. Thank you for always watching and supporting me, dude!🫶🏼
Use it as a positive bro do another video telling people what to avoid when buying a car private sale and not from the dealer get that awareness out there 👍👍
Yeah there's certain things in my life bad things had happened the way I take it is don't ever do it again learn your lesson gonna have to fail some things to learn your lesson . This the way you're gonna learn and you'll get Wiser💫✨️💫❤️🔥😎
Go to AAA next time and they’ll help assist you with a title transfer. They’ll also tell you about the fees or any red flags that you need to be aware of.
Hey J bad luck seems to find good people .. Sorry about the bad scene.. Iife we live and learn ,, Too bad it happens ,we have to break fail.. Thats when we grab the boot stings and face it and not pounds yourself... You are a much better man now with the experience you got. Take care . You two and take it with you
It’s all good man! Shit happens sometimes. And thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate that. The comeback is always greater than the setback!🙏🏾
The new IS does have better interior! I used my father in law’s IS300 at the beginning of the video haha. And thank you so much for watching, man. I really appreciate that. The comeback is always greater than the setback!🙏🏾
you live and you learn forsure, no title in hand is a immediate red flag also when the price is too good to be true. I over paid a Iil for a used 2021 Lexus IS 350 from a Lexus stealership but didn't mind overpaying a little since I know it came from a trusted place and has a warranty on it. Found your channel a few days ago since I'm looking to get a few mods done to it
I completely agree! Definitely won’t ever happen again. And thank you so much for watching, man. I really appreciate that. The comeback is always greater than the setback!🙏🏾
Went through a similar situation, my wife had a Acura that she had leased out and it was sold by the dealer. Had to get the car back and she met with the individual at a local mall. Needless to say we ended up selling it and it was out of our hair . Keep your head up, good things happen to great people 🤙
I’m so sorry about that. I’m glad you guys were able to get it handled. You live and you learn unfortunately. Thank you so much for watching, man. I really appreciate it. The comeback is always greater than the setback!🙏🏾
Yeah I was highly considering a mechanic’s lien but idk any shop that would put their shop at risk. On top of that, if I did find a shop, they can charge whatever amount they want and it would be a very lengthy process that we could still end up losing.
same thing happened to me, i bought an out of state car in CA and i didn't have a title or registration, luckily my grandpa had dealt with with something like this and we were able to put it through a mechanics lien through his people, it was a long process (about half a year) but the car is now officially titled under my name and registered in CA. It sucks that this happened to you but I feel if this were to ever happen again you should try the mechanic lien sale route. I only paid 50 bucks to get it through the lien sale and then paid off the fees that were on the car which was like 300 bucks. However I do have to say the hardest part of doing a lien sale is finding a shop that will even do the mechanics lien sale for you (u usually have to pay under the table lol).
Dude. Thats so sick that you were able to get it done! I was highly considering a mechanic’s lien but idk any shop that would put their shop at risk even family friends and such. On top of that, if I did find a shop, they can charge whatever amount they want (under the table) and it would be a very lengthy process like you said. It normally takes 6 months. And we could still end up losing.
Thank you! He’s a Shiba-Inu! Super well behaved pup! Can be a little too clever sometimes lol. They’re basically a cat-like dog lol. It’s almost like having a roommate that just looks like a dog😂
I agree, everything else seemed too good that my dumbass overlooked the title because they had all the paperwork that allowed me to go get the title but at the end of the day, it still was NOT the title😔
