That's an easier explanation for the difference between kekomi and keage, but you can chamber the kick the same way for both. What changes is the way it is delivered! In keage only the leg from the knee down moves, in kekomi the entire leg moves. Another example is keage is like a mawashi geri, while kekomi is more like ushiro geri. But do follow the way he's explaining it, for it is more easy to learn it that way.
I am from Istanbul Turkey; I was very happy to see Malaysian Karate-ka so attentive and motivated; they clapped after every demonstration and tried to repeat the moves. Congratulations.
Why does the attacker always do a lunge punch? No one is ever going to attack you like that or that slowly? They're going to fire off punches faster than you can block them in the street.
Blocks in karate aren't actually blocks at all. In their simplest form they are parries or counter attacks to the attacking limb. With more skill they are either setting up or are directly part of a joint lock or throw. Kata make no sense if you think of the huge distance in sport karate but work well at close and grappling ranges.
@@wayneholmes637how would you interpret the first low block of Heian Shodan or the first inside block of Heian Sandan? Are you using the set as the block or doing clinch work like Iain Abernethy?
These people are confusing all. Many, Nakas video he withdrowing left leg while kagi zuki. Here is no shift. Bull shit. Many competition all are shift leg....
It is wrong... Dead wrong.. He showed choku zuki in the other palm. And he put the hand down and raised choku zuki, then his hand little out side.. He is making you all fool... For the reason isfirstly choku zuki is controlled with sholder and arm pit. There after raising handloosing armpit and sholder. That is why it happens.. If you loose both hand first, after raising hand it will come inside the palm... Got it guys. I am ready to proove this. Challenge?... Bullshit. Majorities are uneducated and fan of masters. So very difficult to agree what i mentioned🙏🏻
Kata bunkai ? Where are the joint locks ? Where are the throws ? Where is the grappling that real karate has in abundance ? Why can't you admit you don't know anything What your teaching is an insult to the Okinawan masters ! Take off your black belt and throw it away ...
Very very very different from the original Naihanchi created by MATSUMURA SENSEI and kept alive by his family and passed on by Nephew SOKEN HOHAN. completely different from the ancient Okinawa orginal’ oh! But why! The Japanese looked down upon the Okinawa people as inferior-so yeah, why are the Okinawans going to teach the Japanese the real deal? Not gonna happen. Kata bunkai was hidden for many reasons! The last is confusion to make money!!!
Even Okinawan master says different from one another, so many Ryu-ha(style) which one to believe.....Goju, Shorin, Uechi, Shindo-Ryu so on so on.......lol
