Hi Subscriber This coming video, to describe the different of yoko geri keage and kekomi. and its also how to improve our empi when its come together with yoko geri. Oss #naka #japankarateassociation #jkakarate #jkamalaysia
😂😂 I really struggle with understanding how it can work in real life also, and i also just dont see the point in it. It seems to have been introduced by funakoshi, for the heian katas as in the pinans it's a maegeri kick.
My sensei told me that the keage is not for pushing your opponent, it's for slapping a knife or hand out of the way , like parrying a punch or a knife strike while the other ( kekome) is a literal side push kick
I’ve used keage when sparring for nearly fifty years. Power is more a matter of proper timing than technique. You can knockout an opponent with a jab if your timing is precise.
