25 year warranty is a joke. Wood will last easily last 25 years too, and its much cheaper. You should be offering a minimum of a 50 year warranty. Anything less isn't worth the cost of steel.

slight issue for herringbone, @ 3' linear between each ending "center line of where the board merge" every board would need to be 4'3" in length that means you would waste 3'9" of every board 8' you cut, maybe those are the sizes you need for the end pieces for this dimension, but something to consider if your building outside of his dimensions. I love your video btw i couldn't do what im doing with out it.

Just adjust the end of each piece. Independent from the row above or below.

Had and still have huge problems with Timbertech. Scratches very easily but worse yet, it started to stain after just one year. Looks horrible. Timbertech had me jumping through hoops with photos, diagrams, specific lengths, more photos, a zillion emails. Finally agreed to replace the boards meaning I PAY TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THEIR CRAPPY PRODUCT. Buyer beware!

I built an Ipe deck 7 years ago (to replace Trex that disintegrated) and Ipe Oil it every 2 years. It's spectacular. Now I am planning on replacing some 1980"s cultured stone on the covered exterior front entry with a horizontal T&G Ipe siding. At 1:15 your video shows a beautifully mitered exterior Ipe outside corner of a building and I was wondering if you have tips on keeping the corners tight . I have a 10' wall and an 8' wall so I'd like to use full boards with no seams except for the mitered OS corner. Do I need to seal the miter cuts or should I just glue them?? Some people say not to miter Ipe at all! Any suggestions are appreciated. Great videos and good work! (Climate is Semi-arid here; hot dry summers with snowy winters. 5 to 100 Fahrenheit.)

Haters- it saves on decking. Most composite is the same per Lin Ft, however, when using treated lumber or cedar the price per ft goes up the longer the deck board

Great video - short, concise, to the point! So many youtubers make their "helpful" videos way too long and more about themselves than the issue at hand, defeating the purpose. As a wizened lady once said, "Ain't nobody got time for that!"

I thought - interesting... every time it saves you 23% - six for six... strange... well I need to replace a fairly-standard, rectangular deck... I wonder if I really COULD save money doing this... Jumped onto the Lowe's site... looking at standard, pressure-treated 5/4 deck boards... $6.38 for 8' = $0.7975 / ft $12.58 for 16' = $0.7863 / ft. $7.88 for 10' = $0.7880 /ft $9.48 for 12' = $0.7900 Not sure what school you went to for math, but the price per linear foot is actually cheapest (by a fraction of a penny) buying a 16' deck board. Plain and simple... Looks like nonsense to me... especially when you'd need to add more framing.
