You can use this product on capped composite. You just have to run your driver at high RPM, and feed very slowly- light pressure- let the screw do the work. I have built decks where we installed 1 row of CorTex on the outside side, and Edge fastened the inside of the picture frame.
@@edhesq you can, the screw will just not be hidden on the outside edge. Better to screw down through the face with Azek's screws and use their plugs to fill the holes. If you line up the grain, they are almost invisible.
You can use it on the first board if depending on how your deck is constructed. I have different ways of installing deck boards if you have a single rim joist or double and if you have clearance for the tool.
