So many shows in that time period had B&W first seasons, then switched to color due to availability and budget. It was a transitional period. Some say colorization is a form of artistic vandalism, but I think that applies to films intentionally filmed in B&W. The eventual change to color seems to denote that color was desired all along...probably.
My two favorite episodes was Mr Nobody and the episode that had the boy at the other side of the mirror. I was a teenager it would have been wonderful to live alone forever.
I was 14 1/2, a Freshman in high school, Monson, MA, at the time. With my maternal grandparents, the kitchen light looked like the Robot's buble and there was a white folding door, like the state rooms" to our living room!
This was THE best show I ever watched as a kid. I loved it. Looking at these shorts it was such a good quality production. I had my favourite episodes. Even the music brings back memories. I still love it.
I watched this in the 1970s when I was 6, 7, 8, etc. As a child, I loved the show and the Character Dr. Zachory Smith, but I hated how Dr. Zachory Smith ruined it every time. There will never be another Jonathan Harris; he was an original.
Thank you whoever made this film 🎥 clip of;Lost in Space, thank you!I know this are wonderful memories of;Hollywood!Poor Doctor Smith! He seemed to get it in the end?Or,maybe, not!
My all time favorite "scream" is in the episode "his majesty Smith", when he escapes from being stuffed by hairy actor Kevin Hagen (the doctor from little house). Smith hits the mad doctor character over the head, runs and just barely makes it outside by sliding under the closing spaceship hatch. While trumpeting a yah-hoo-hoo shreek. Second best, is when he's conned the robot into stealing the Keeper's ship and releases the captured animals. Later he screams again, when a silly looking flying creature perched on a rock, takes flight right towards he and the robot. Great stuff! His best. Thanks for the video!
This show came on at the right time in the 60s with the up and coming moon explorations. I watched this show religiously as a kid every Friday night at 7 pm. The music was awesome. Great writers.
We just got to bring back the CAMP feel of the original! - and yes, perhaps with less juvenile plot lines. ... KEY - DO NOT OVER-CGI IT! ... Technical flaws, as with the original, allowed the child in all of us to fill in the gaps - and thus feel like participants! ... But, please bring back the cozi Winnebago-like camping ride, with family and friends, through the Galaxy of the original.
This first season kept the show going with the other seasons of the show that you never knew what was going to happen on the show that made you want to see the show all the time because it was a about a family that was never done before like this was done
