Hey sir i hope you see this but my 02 1500 has a 3 inch body lift and im wanting to remove it. I already have the stock bolts just have been lazy. I understand id probably just reverse everything in the video but do you know what exactly i need to do to remove my 3 inch body lift?
Hi nice video, i have a question, in a chevy express 2015 the two cables connected to the coolant switch must be grounded if everything is working properly right? the black cable is ground and pass through the coolant switch and the ground continue to the IP?
My 2001 had an argument with the rear end of a Ford F150 that was stopped dead in freeway traffic. Basically pushed the front end in about an inch or less… did not hurt the headlights, front fenders, or hood at all. Destroyed my front bumper and the plastic grill. Bent radiator core support slightly, maybe a slight bow in radiator. Broke my coolant reservoir exactly where yours did. Put in a new coolant tank from Amazon. Only then did the low coolant light come on. I put a gallon and a half of Dex in it, dang light still on. After idling 20 min, temp started to climb. Light still on. Wondering now if something in the radiator is bent or pinched… ran perfectly for up to 4 miles twice before that without overheating or a low coolant light when it had no coolant tank on it… so not happy…. Have a new radiator core support on order… just don’t know what to do about the coolant issue. Found your video tonight, it’s a great vid, but doesn’t solve my issue. Going to run it again tomorrow n see if anything has changed for it sitting untouched all week. At that point if it doesn’t work I will hafta take it to a shop… Incidentally the plate the air filter mounts onto and the coolant reservoir’s front bolt should go into is pushed in about a half inch, just enough to where you can’t put that front bolt back in. Currently have it zip tied securely on the front. Not sure how to shift that plate back into position. Such a slight adjustment. Maybe a half a lousy inch…
Sounds like you may have air in the coolant system. It needs to be burped. Subaru are real bad about this. Jack up the front to make the resavor for sure the highest point in system. Let it idel with no cap. You may try squeezing, the rad hoses😂as it idels.
This sensor might also trigger the transmission control module to make engine rpm higher to speed up the warm up process...i got the intermittent low coolant level but see it in the tank...
Definitely a good video. It's not for my application but I needed the information about about the kit and why I'd need to buy 4 extra bolts to use it on an H2. I only plan on 2". The steering shaft threw me off for a minute but then I remembered mine extends. You also answered the fan question but I don't know if there's a shroud drop bracket kit for the H2 so I'd probably either have to take it out completely or go with the FF DYNAMICS stage 4 electric fan kit I've been wanting which is $460. I can't drive it at highway speeds when it 90 degrees out or more because it overheats so I'll probably go electric.
Glad to hear you didnt need proportioning valve with this swap. I have a reg cab v8 so im hoping i dont need to tear into that problem in the future. Lord knows i'd need the valve, bench bleed, matching abs unit, a scan tool for abs, lines, smh
Especially here in the north west. The winter locks up bolts pretty bad. I spray diesel fuel on the bolts I'm removing the day before. Salt paralyzes just about everything it touches
You know that disconnect sleeve is the weak link/ fuse in those differentials, I busted one before and was pissed however I replaced my sleeve with a billet steel sleeve but now I have no use for my two 9.5 front differentials with 4.56 gears because I did a solid axle swap on my dmax dually those IFS differentials I have will fit any 2000-2011 2500 and 3500 Chevrolet/ GM truck
You are right howev people want conveyance so the automaker gotta make it as easy as possible for people to put yhe truck in 4x4 so they will buy them. A lot of times, that system weakens the truck.
I just replaced my coolant tank with a new one and I discovered that it did not have anything connected to the old sensor. Where does the harness come from that goes to that sensor??
Same question. I just picked up an 04 Tahoe with no plug. From the vid it looks like it’s attached to the map sensor harness. Did you ever figure out how to wire it?
