If I could change one thing about this movie it would be making James Gunn the director since James Gunn made the guardians of the galaxy trilogy one of the best in cinema I don’t know how Gunn would make this movie better but he can make a comedy movie with serious stuff like Gunn could make Thor and star lord relatable with them having kind of similar pasts Thor four should’ve just been Asguardians of the galaxy with the logo show “as” being added with Thor’s lightning.
What I would do is have Act 1 focus on Thor and the guardians travelling around saving people. They would come across a few dead Gods too. Thor is recalled to Earth when Mjlnoir is back, but not with him, with Jane and it saved her cancer. Then this would alert Gorr to their location and they would have to run away to Omnipotent City and get all the Gods together to defeat Gorr, but they won't listen. Then Gorr shows up and kills every one. Thor, Nat and maybe one or two other Gods would go back to the guardians and prepare for the final fight where they all fight Gorr and all the Gods he killed that are now necro-zombies. It would have the same ending where Gorr is about to wish for all the Gods to be dead, but instead he wishes for his daughter back. Jane dies of cancer and goes to Valhalla. Thor and Nora leave the guardians. I wouldn't have Asguard at all because it takes away from his ending in Endgame.
@@SonicProdigy55 Yea and I could imagine those two would have kids I'm so sick of Marvel treating Thor like he's Spider Man where he loses everybody in his life first his mom then his dad then his home and then his sometimes douchebag brother and now the woman he loved come on and now they make him a dad to some girl that's not even his but a guy who wasted a wish to bring his dead daughter back just for Thor to raise bullshit he doesn't owe Gorr shit Gorr should've just made the wish to make Cancer not exist.
You didn’t fix the biggest plot whole of all. If Thor could’ve gone to eternity at any time and make a wish, what was the point of the time heist in Endgame?
Currently loving this rewrite, however, I am a bit confused on the part where Thor makes Gorr worthy of using stormbreaker. I thought that you don't need to be worthy in order to use the axe, since thanos used it in the battle in endgame and odin never put an enchantment on it like he did with Mjolnir. Keep up the awesome rewrites!!!
I haven't watched Phase 4 other than No way home (Big fan of Spider Man and Multiverses) and Wakanda Forever (Mostly out of curiosity of how it will go). I heard a lot of this movie, but never watched it, and judging from the description of many people that review it, I am glad I didn't and instead checked for anyone who would do a rewrite, and BOOM I found your version and boy it was amazing... I am not just saying it, this writing really took me back to the time where MCU had good writing. The good old days where characters had deep arcs, bold writing choices, and when stories actually had hearts and souls. I loved how you gave everyone a chance to shine. I especially love how you managed to handle Jane way better, actually give her some justice. And Thor's arc was great, mostly because you did what many writers nowadays forgets to do. Give character respect and actually bother with continuation without forgetting what happened in the past, or treating tragic past as a joke. Can't wait to see more of these rewrites if you plan on ever doing some in the near future. I would be curious how you would envision Wakanda Forever your way. Keep up with the great work.
I really do wish this happened in the movie because Bluey to me wasn’t good and this was really good. Got me goosebumps. It was amazing and incredible. I love humour but this movie had way too much humor. I’m glad someone did this really amazing work really incredible. Can’t wait to see more stuff that you do.
I love Flight of the Conchords, but man, I wish Taika didn't takeover directing for Thor, cause it would be so much better being more serious, cause now every Marvel movie needs to be an Adam Sandler film apparently
1 thing I didn't like about the original movie is that Jane went to Valhalla at the end, she died to disease, therefore SHOULD have gone to Helheim, I understand why they did this, but it just makes no sense to me.
I know I’m late to the discussion but if I were to change some things from Thor 4 it would be this. • Forget Gorr make The Mangog the main villain ( Thor 3 mentions Asgards past conquests so it fits well with the mangogs origin and kinda continues the sins of the father theme that was sort of set up in Thor 3 ) • Jane sacrifices herself to defeat the mangog just like in the comics ( much more meaningful death than what we actually got. Also would add the title of love and thunder a different meaning by having Jane defeat the mangog with “love” against its hatred for Asgard) • The Guardians should have a somewhat decent role in the movie but not be the main focus ( Have Thor be with the guardians and receive an S.O.S from a distant planet It’s the mangog destroying a civilization) They do their best against the mangog but they are no match for it and they are put out of commission. Thor puts up a good fight and even overwhelms the mangog for a bit but it’s not enough. • I’d like to think of the mangogs role as almost doomsday like with its whole purpose to inflict as much pain as it possible, its whole drive is rage, anger and hatred for what Asgard had done in the past • Alot that the original movie offers can be avoided with these changes. I think the whole aspect of Love vs Hate could’ve worked better than whatever we got. It’s been said that Thor 5 would be a darker tone and what perfect villain for it than Gorr ( It’s weird that we had two villains back to back that had similar powers)
First off great job, really liking some of the changes you made. One thing though I will say, is while I get the Mighty Thor idea at the end, I think it could’ve been an interesting idea to have Jane become a Valkyrie instead in Love and Thunder
While i do agree with the fact that thor isn't the god of weapons, a headcanon for me is that stormbreaker is a kings weapon and something that only thor could wield; it'd be kind of a disservice to peter dinklage dwarf, groot and rocket when they helped create it And seeing as how odin admitted that thor is stronger it'd kinda make sense that the axe resonates with thor too But honestly if only the writing quality of thor 4 was like this it'd have been so much better, keep up the good work~
This was overall good, however I actually liked that in the original that Jane, I think it was the only good thing that happened in that film, while I was hoping she would die in this version too it still overall works and it not only gave Jane but also Thor a completed character arc plus it gives off a satisfying ending where it doesn't require a 5th film. However I don't entirely like the valkyrie and Sif plot line, val having feelings kinda felt unnecessary and I think it would've just been better as they grew more specifically a friendship and of course a respect for one other, there's no real reason to add this sort of inclusivity in the film and not everyone is going to be comfortable with that stuff anyway
Cut out Lady Thor and replace her with Beta Ray Bill. Ragnarok and infinity war proved that you don't need Jane Foster to make Thor a compelling character , also Natalie Portman doesn't care for these movies anyway. Give Beta Ray Bill his arc of needing to save his people but being unable to cast aside his pride and arrogance, like Thor in his first movie. Have Thor mentor him so that we can see how far he has come since Thor 1.
Hey hey hey as annoying as the screaming was tooth nasher and grinder are a legitimate part of the Thor lore marvel or otherwise I would have Them represented with respect
yeah, just play them straight and don't have them scream in every scene, if it's funny let the audience judge if it truly is funny without being soo obvious
Thor 4 was one of my most anticipated movies from Marvel but man they really wasted it with unnecessary humour. This is a great rewrite my friend for obvious reasons: 1.Thor's arc... I was immediately taken out of the movie for how he was portrayed at the start, your Indigor scene was what I was expecting. 2.Jane's arc is nice especially her learning curve which was nowhere in the movie, her condition and the mjolnir problem is great. 3.Gorr's arc is really good as well, I think I enjoyed him the most in the movie mostly because of Christian Bale's performance, definitely needed the Omnipotent city massacre and maybe some more before that. I think he would be insanely hard to defeat though, so I'd have it slightly lean in more to the comic storyline. 4.Inclusion of Sif... you nailed this part and her reasoning with Valkyrie and their back and forth, I'm not sure about the romance but who am I to judge. 5.Zeus is better here as well definitely without the showboating, his deleted scene with Thor was awesome. 6.Guardians... so I'm not sure about keeping the guardians for the entire story, I get that it definitely helps a lot in this story with them emotionally supporting Thor, but this is a Thor movie.. also the Guardians are on a low if we're power scaling them with everyone else in the context of the story. I don't know.....definitely works for this story though. 7. And of course my favourite part: remove the goats, minimize Korg's screen time, symbiotic all black instead of shadow monsters and Darcy and Dr. Selvig being here. This was my personal opinion, overall this story would've made the experience, although not as epic as the comic, a very much satisfying continuation of Thor's journey.
Be careful what you wish for. We might actually make the story better. All jokes aside, thanks for watching but if all fans got creative control of the MCU it would be kind of scary. ❤️😂
