I had a limited amount of monitors, so only one MSX was turned on. I recorded this when not everything was started, before the people barged in. But I assure you, NMS 8250 was running games the whole 3 days.
I had this one around 1985 to 1987 - it had to harddrives, one for the boot-programm, the other for the files. It was - terrible, but the best at that time!
Yes, that is add-on card for music. If you have a REALLY good hearing, I guess you could hear even the keyboard sounds behind the music :) (but there is some very audible when machine starts)
Zvuci odlicno!
TIM's HW is too slow to do any fullscreen animation, so this one is interlaced, at one time only even or odd lines are updated, and you get the impression of speed
Wow - that is s great collection of REU demos. We had seen a bunch of them before, but there were definitely some new ones for us in there, so always happy to add to the collection. Thanks for making the effort to record and edit all of that. Would you mind listing which demos you’re playing in your timeline?
We had more CRTs in the years before, but it is becoming more and more troublesome to transfer them all to the conference and back. They are getting older (and so are we :) ) and not ready to be turned on for the whole day...
@@Theonlysaffr The small one is my friend's. It is old surveillance monitor with composite input. That monitor is connected to Russian clone of Galaksija computer.
Music is for AY chip, player code and music are not mine, I just integrated them into the game (there is a complete information in title screen's scroll message).
Ha ha ha You still need Speccy to feel better about yourself! :D .... wait, wait... I love and C64 :/ ... tough when you need to choose between two love ones... Can I love them both? :D
I feel fine with or without the ZX... And I love the machine, the same as all my other retro machines (back in the day, I played many games on friend's ZX, as he did on my C64). But I must admit that I love C64 a bit more than the rest, as it was my first computer :)
Hi,i have a problem with this cartridge c264-magic-cart when make a file with zzarko-magic-cartridge-generator and burn flash does not work can someone help me?
There are contacts for Marko and me on bitbucket page, send an email with more information about the problem. Have you properly configured jumpers and programmed GAL, as described here: github.com/msolajic/c264-magic-cart
@@zzarko Yes programmed GAL and jumper configurated for flash AM29F040B,but when I insert the cartridge and turn on the C16 it doesn't work the screen appears as if nothing was inserted.
Of course, as soon as it is ready. The code is based on already existing code from bitbucket.org/zzarko/magic-cartridge-generator , but first it needs to be tested on real hardware, to see if banking would work or not...
Both old and new routine draw on a 80x50 big pixels screen. Each character in a font has a matrix of 2x2 big pixels in it. Each big pixel is 4x4 actual C64 pixels, so in that sense they are quadripled.
scr1 is on $3800, scr 2 is on $3C00, background is on $5000. I copy from $5000 to $3800, then draw the sprites, then switch VIC-II screen to $3800. Then the same with $3C00.
after this model was launched, mihajlo pupin institute was visited by some people from usa and all further development of personal computers was canceled immediately...
To be honest, TIM-011 is 80-90% clone of SB180, open source CP/M computer whose complete plans were published in British BYTE magazine in September 1985. Even the TIM OS is some 80--90% SB180 CP/M. People from Pupin added video circuit and keyboard to SB180 and wrote software support for those, more or less... AFAIK, at the time, it was never published that TIM-011 was a clone of SB180, but that it was an original domestic machine.
@@ZarkoZivanov at this time tehre was no problem for this kind of "CLONING" because a punch of Companies wourldwide made clonse from "Sharp" to some Japan companies --- all of tham have cloned first PC , IBM PC with Intel 8 Bit processor INTEL I8080.
Is this a real TIM-011? This seems almost unrealistically fast for what I remember of TIM-011 graphics back in the day. You scroll ~1/4 of screen in like 3-4fps...
Yes, it is a real TIM-011. But no, there is no screen scrolling, I just redraw alien tiles each time and erase a part left and right of the aliens, so there is only (almost) minimal drawing involved.
