The blower was already installed when I got my machine so had to do the removal this spring. Really an easy to operate blower compared to the older model. I switched out the support brackets in the front for the quick attach brackets for the brush guard. Darn near had to break out a complete set of sockets and wrenches to do that. Don’t understand why they couldn’t standardize the nut sizes better.
Was checking this unit out at Woodcraft yesterday. Thanks for your post on its review! So, your use of the Zin 123 water base primer leads me to believe that your finish coat was also H2O based? Have you ran any oil based products through the system yet?
Perfect boat. Reasonable price of entry. Not too big, not too small. Durable. I have a 14ft fiberglass now, my next boat will definitely be a 16ft aluminum V. (Don't worry about the neighbors, you're a captain now 😆)
I have been looking for a good flip top cart for the DeWalt planer. I like your video and cart design. Your electric work worries me unless you’re trying to start a fire? I recommend you talk to a qualified electrician.
Nice cart - would be great if you made the plans available to view or buy. Also I couldn’t help noticing you didn’t appear to be using any eye protection, ear protection or dust protection. It’s not a huge issue for a single project (although it just takes one bad event to cause some lasting damage) - but If you’re going to be doing a lot of this type of work, protecting your eyes, your hearing and your lungs is critical.
Hope you enjoy. I love mine even though I don't use it tons. You might want to look into using the 5x30 domino for your stock as I believe the 6x40 you will have to offset the depth on oneside and you could easily accidently cut through your material, but with a 5x30 you can leave the depth at 15mm and not have to worry about it. I also do not have the festool dust collector and use a shop vac with a separator. I used a cheaper Cen-Tec hose from Amazon and the rubber adapter slips right over the dust collection port on the domino.
@@averagediyguy2503 I saw you used some non treated exterior grade wood how has that held up as I’m planning on using it in mine because of the crazy prices of marine grade.
@omcoutboardboy4421 use marine grade. Don't use treated. It's corrosive to aluminum. It's what OEM used 30 years ago and it's good enough for a rebuild
Did it have a tip in the gun already or was the one in the package the only one? Have you sprayed poly out of that system yet? If so what size tip did you use?
I've only sprayed what you see. It comes with the gun. It comes with a 1.5mm tip that's says it for thinner things like stain and poly but had s 2mm for paint and primer.
I was thinking of doing something like this because I'm short like 5'5 5'7 and the saw at 37 and my out feed being that high kinda was not what I wanted I prefer a 33in bench
Well done! I was thinking of building something very similar to this before watching your video. Anything you would do differently? Do you feel that the 2x4 platform on the bottom is required with the standoff casters?
I'd use regular butt joints instead of Kreg pocket holes. It just doesn't look good. The frame is to keep the whole thing straight. My last one buckled causing me to add one after construction.
This is by far the best flip cart. I am very interested in buying a copy of your plans. Are they for sale? I am a simple handyman with a small garage. Any information is much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
Nice build! Love how it fits perfectly in that area. But wow.. use a push stick or something. Did you see how close your thumb got to the blade at 10:16?
Hello Average Guy. I was wondering, when designing your flip-top tool cart, how much extra space did your leave so your planner (or other tools) did not hit any obstructions?
Why not put an outlet on each side of the table surface? It would be handy for plugging in other tools and you wouldn’t have to disassemble it to get access to the plug.
Then I'd have to feed all the tool cords through the pivoting pipe instead of just 1 power cord. The pipe isn't big enough to fit the heads and all the cords.
@@averagediyguy2503 I meant so there would be outlets on the same surface as the tools. So they can plug directly into the outlets. You can even recess the plug boxes into the top surface for a more seamless look.
Then the seams wouldn't be on the crossbars of the toons. They'd be weak and unsupported. This was how it lasted for 30 years. Thought it would be good enough for me.
Man you don’t do anything half hatred do you?! Also I think you should change the name of your channel to “Way above average DIY Guy”. I see the comments are turned off on the epoxy table episode but that was incredible! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your projects and knowledge. Slainte, DC🍀
Toggle latches would be another great option for this . I love the idea of 180 degree rather than the whole 360 degree rotation as far as tool safety alone and the fact it is smarter as far as when you are running power like this.
I like your design of the 2x sticking out for more support. Great idea! Also like how you put more than one tool on the top. I’ll do the same on both sides. I have a 15” floor planer so it won’t go on it. Just other smaller tools. I’ll make mine a little wider to accommodate. Retired cabinet builder here. No plans needed. Thanks for your video! Enjoyed it!!
I see your dewalt jigsaw is like mine. Mine hasn’t stayed at a 90 degree for one single cut straight out of the box. Thanks for the video. I’m making one now
Sold ! I went and bought this exact model and I love it !. The only thing I wish is that the motor would shut off when the nozzle is not being used. But overall a fantastic A+ pressure washer
