Bladders offer a smoother and more responsive feel as there is no stiction and less heat build up than a floating piston design

Looking for a better feel out of my rear shock on 17 300xc, is this the fix?

Just purchased a K tech Razor R Shock for my 2019 Suzuki Katana. Have a lot of faith in a good product after listening to this interview 👍

If the cost of that was around $800 I’d buy it. My set up for under 300 bucks works just as good I bet.

I'm not sure about that man. Not sure how your setup is, but this one ensures that the internals and fluids are not contaminated, and also ensures 100% accuracy with the volume of fluids.

Bladders offer a smoother and more responsive feel as there is no stiction and less heat build up than a floating piston design. For roadrace applications we suggest shock servicing at least every 20 hrs of use. For offroad applications this should be more frequent.

What's the recommended service interval with this bladder and what's the primary benefit over the stock piston?

One of the nicest guys I have ever met is Chris .. Back in the 90's, he was the guy to go to if you had any problem with suspension in West Norfolk, mainly moto x stuff but he did rebuild a couple of sets RD350lc forks back in the day :) I still ride past his old gaff in West Walton from time to time and think from tiny acorns ..Well done Chris you deserve everything you get in life ..

A suggestion to maybe help grow the business............cut the turnaround time from order to delivery in half. I ordered a set of Razor IV shocks for my Speed Twin 5 weeks ago through Cycle Gear and still haven't been able to get a delivery date. I checked with Ohlins two days ago and they said they would ship in 5 days. The lead time for your shocks is WAY too long.

Did you have to send in your forks in first to find out that you need to wait? i just sent mine in and am already tormenting the thought of my bike out of commission with this sun coming out!

No. I just ordered shocks for the rear. I had the forks done by a local suspension guy. Once the springs, spacers etc arrived, he rebuilt the forks in a day.

Michael, Thanks for your input. The oldest unfilled orders we show on this shock with any of our customers is from 3-15-21 (about 3 weeks ago). You may want to check with your dealer if you have an older order in place. We expect Speed Twin Razor shocks to be shipping this forth coming week. Apologies for any delays!

@@K-TechSuspensionUSA Thank you for the response. Apparently I owe you an apology. My order receipt is dated 3/6 and the Akrapovic silencers I ordered with the shocks arrived on 3/15 and my assumption was that the vendor would have ordered the shocks from you on or around 3/7. Apparently that did not happen. Hopefully the shocks will arrive soon.

Hello there I’ve just installed a k tech air to spring conversion kit into the fork leg of my 2016 kxf 450 for Mx use and one small thing that a wanted to ask. In the top of the fork next to the preload adjuster there is a hex head air screw, do I let air out of that while the bike is on the stand after a race like normal spring forks and can I fit a push button style valve into the thread instead of the stock screw. Hope you don’t mind me asking the question 😃
@skipdowling7734

Gazza, Yes our ORSS Air 2 Spring conversion kits have a bleed screw adjacent to the preload adjuster. There may or may not be room to fit a bleeder.

Skip Dowling cheers for getting back to me so quick and thanks for letting me know that it’s an air bleeder 👍

Why doesn't any of your fork cartridge kits have any information in regards to what Spring is for what weight? Definitely difficult to spend this type of money on a product that doesn't provide me with any information as to what I should purchase

Sk2PPer, Good question ! Choosing a spring rate can sometimes involve more than selecting a spring rate from a chart or formula. We think its best to discuss this with your installer or a professional that knows the right questions to ask. We're glad to help at our sales line 631- 231-9556 / tech line 631-310-4798 or can suggest a local dealer or service center to help.

Could you please explain in detail about what exactly the bypass valve does? E.x If I turn clockwise or anticlockwise what would be the effect.
@k-techusa5658
@k-techusa5658 9 лет назад
Hello Andreas, The Bypass valve effects the low speed damping on both the compression & rebound circuits. This effects the initial movement of the shock...
