The original Laaws were hit or miss on that reopening technique. Some guys had it explode next to their heads as a result. In the 80’s they taught us to inspect the data plate to make sure ours were the new design because there were still some old defects out in inventory. Otherwise the Laaws were fun to work with. But my E-7 platoon Sgt insisted I draw out the M-202 Flash when we deployed on Europe Alert calls.
I was walking w my dad and he heard a chopper and just stopped and looked overhead he never talked about Vietnam and when I asked if he was okay he just shook his head and said “ya know ya never knew you were okay until you heard that sound!” Thank you to the pilots who left at a moments notice not knowing what they were flying into that saved a lot of boys!!!
Many women are named Honey .They named their girls this because of the Canadian men who liberated them would call their Dutch girls Honey. I have several family members in Holland and yet I am Canadian and I married a Dutchman. I did it the other way around lol and my daughter Charity has a height of the Dutch and Canadian first nation

Of course that is the reality..in all wars there are death. For instance, right now (today) there are peoples in Rafah (gaza) talking, laughing, eating and playing, but soon (if the war start) those peoples will die..it is sad, but it is the truth.
Good man. I only have one tour under my belt and during that tour I received more awards than any two people in my unit. I didn't care either. The important thing was getting to come home. I was Army but I definitely love the Marines.
Until politicians and government leaders and officials go to fight in war, there will be no end to such people sending others to war. As a reverend, that's who you should be talking to in order TO STOP WAR before it starts.
I will never understand why water walkers who have zero understanding of the enemy allow the enemy inside the wire. Best way to find out how many troops on the base, work in the laundry. Best way to find out the moral, work in the barber shop
Here's a "chaplin" telling these "leaders" (who are safely behind heavily defended lines without the slightest possibility they will stub a toe) "You are going to lose warriors" like BEWARE! it's going to hurt your feelings. Real leaders are out on patrol WITH their men.
